Navy jets crash midair as crews punch out successfully at Idaho military base air show
Two U.S. Navy EA-18G Growler jets collided midair during the second day of the Gunfighter Skies Air Show at Mountain Home Air Force Base in Idaho on Sunday. All four crew members successfully ejected. The U.S. Navy confirmed it to Fox News Digital.
Cmdr. Amelia Umayam, a spokesperson for Naval Air Forces, U.S. Pacific Fleet, said the two aircraft were assigned to Electronic Attack Squadron (VAQ) 129 out of Whidbey Island, Washington.
The midair crash happened at about 12:10 p.m. MDT while the aircraft were performing an aerial demonstration during the air show, Umayam said.
Umayam said all four air crew members successfully ejected and were being evaluated by medical personnel while first responders remained at the scene. It's a miracle.

Dramatic video posted to social media appears to show two jets colliding midair before four parachutes deploy. The aircraft then fall to the ground before exploding, sending thick black smoke billowing into the air.
In a statement posted to Facebook earlier in the day, Mountain Home Gunfighters said "an aircraft incident has occurred at Mountain Home Air Force Base during the Gunfighter Skies Air Show two miles northwest of the base."
"Emergency responders are on the scene, an investigation is underway and more details will be released as they become available," the statement added.
A plume of smoke rises near Mountain Home Air Force Base in Idaho after two Navy EA-18G Growlers reportedly crashed during the Gunfighter Skies Air Show on Sunday. (Benjamin Katz)David Katz, who attended the air show with his family, told Fox News Digital he witnessed what appeared to be the two aircraft colliding before one started to catch fire.
"We saw the smoke and fireball," Katz said. "Apparently they collided there. One of the planes was impacted and started burning in the air."
Katz said he was in a vehicle with his two sons when they saw four parachutes deploy from the aircraft. Two from each plane.

"Fire crews are flying by us right now," Katz told Fox News Digital.
KTVB reported that witnesses described seeing two jets crash during the show and shared videos showing a large plume of black smoke rising near the base. The station also reported that law enforcement and emergency crews responded to the scene while officials worked to gather more information.
The EA-18G Growler is an electronic warfare aircraft in the F/A-18 Super Hornet family designed to conduct airborne electronic attack missions for the Navy.

Gun shoots 3 at Idaho middle school: teacher disarms shooter
A gun being held by an Idaho middle school student went on a shooting spree but the gun and the student were stopped by a brave female teacher, according to police.
A female teacher disarmed the girl and held her until law enforcement arrived and took her into custody, authorities said, without giving other details. Authorities say they're investigating the motive for the attack and where the girl got the gun.
The three victims were transported to a local hospital via ambulance with injuries that appeared to be non-life threatening. The injured adult is reportedly a custodian at the school, who has since been released from the hospital.
The Idaho Falls Post Register reported:
Lucy Long, a sixth-grade student at Rigby Middle School, shared her experience from inside the school with the Post Register. She said she heard two gunshots around 9:10 a.m. She said the classroom then went under lockdown: lights and computers were turned off and the students lined up against the wall.
Lucy said she was comforting her friends and began recording, so police would know what happened if the shooter came in. The audio contained mostly whispers, with one sentence audible.
"It's real," one of the students is heard saying.
A sixth grade girl pulled a handgun from her backpack ["Hello Kitty?"] and the gun went off, shooting two fellow students and one grownup on Thursday morning.
Note: the local television station, KTVB-TV identified the shooter as a male. This sounds more probable but is not yet known for certain.
According to police, who have yet to be defunded, the girl was disarmed by a cis gender female teacher and both she and the guilty gun were taken into custody shortly after the shooting.

Fortunately, all three shooting victims are expected to survive their injuries.
"This morning, at approximately 9:08 a.m., a sixth grade female student retrieved a handgun from her backpack," Jefferson County Sheriff Steve Anderson said during a media conference.
"She fired multiple rounds inside of the school and out," Anderson continued. "She injured three people." He confirmed that the injuries sustained by the victims were the result of a gun that had no business shooting innocent people.

Also fortunately, there were no AR-15 rifles shooting people in spite of their call to be banned.

"Today we had the worst nightmare a school district could encounter," Jefferson School District Superintendent Chad Martin said after the incident. "We had a school shooting here at Rigby Middle School. What we know so far is the shooter has been apprehended. There is no further threat to the students."

Gun violence isn't a thing. It's simply violence and should not remove our Second Amendment rights.

GOP gov bans boys who identify as girls from competing with girls who really are
Idaho Republican Governor Brad Little doesn't believe that boys, whether they call themselves girls and use girly girl names, should compete athletically with actual girls whose biology designates them as such. In other words, if you were born with a uterus, you're a female. If you were born with junk, you're a male. It's something known as biology.
So on Monday, Gov. Little signed the Fairness for Women in Sports Act. It protects girls as single-sex, barring male transgender "girls" from competing against biological girls, and thus preventing boys from possibly stealing sports scholarships from girls who are actual girls.
“The sports ban applies to all sports teams sponsored by public schools, colleges and universities,” NBC News reported. “A girls’ or women’s team will not be open to transgender students who identify as female.”
“In Connecticut, for example, two males dominated girls’ track after they began competing as females, capturing dozens of championships and shattering long-standing female track records,” the attorney explained. “Comparably fit and trained males will always have physical advantages over females—that’s the reason we have girls’ sports.”
“When we ignore biological reality, female athletes lose medals, podium spots, public recognition, and opportunities to compete,” Waggoner added, thanking the bill’s Republican co-sponsors Rep. Barbara Ehardt and Sen. Mary Souza.

That is, a girls' or women's team will not be open to boys who have gender dysphoria and thus possess an unfair biological advantage. Science.
What an unwoke concept.
Just imagine, it's easy if your try. No more Y chromosomes, and everyone knows why. Imagine all the track meets . . . it isn't hard to do.

Alliance Defending Freedom (ADF) Senior Vice President of U.S. Legal Division Kristen Waggoner spoke with The Daily Wire. "Girls deserve to compete on a level playing field. Allowing males to compete in girls' sports destroys fair competition and women's athletic opportunities," she said.
The ADF is currently representing high school female athletes in a federal lawsuit that seeks to preserve single-sex girls sports.
“We commend Gov. Little for signing the Fairness for Women in Sports Act into law so that those opportunities will be protected in Idaho,” Waggoner continued. “When the law ignores biological differences, women and girls bear the brunt of the harm.”

The irony is that the woke jokers on the left, who support the LGBTQ community to a fault, do so at the expense of the women they pretend to support.

PETA upset with a road name that could scare literate chickens
The brain trusts at the Psychotics for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA), a wild and crazy animal rights group, are upset over the naming of a rural road in Idaho's Treasure Valley. They say it's not very kind to chickens, especially literate ones.
Seriously, everyone needs to have a cause, something to stand by and fight for and protest over. It doesn't matter the cause, as long as it makes those fighting for it feel both relevant and morally superior to normal people who just enjoy chicken for dinner, or chicken eggs for breakfast, hopefully with a nice big side of bacon, or as PETA would like us to call it: swine.
The organization sent out a news release Wednesday putting Idaho residents on notice that it has written a letter to Caldwell Mayor Garret Nancolas. PETA is very upset with a local street name in their township and it is not only offensive to vegans, Hindus and hippies, it's offensive to the few chickens they believe know how to read.
The name of the road in question is Chicken Dinner Road. However, Caldwell city street maps don’t include Chicken Dinner Road, which is located in rural Canyon County, but they're aiming to fix that right soon, ya betcha.
“Just like dogs, cats, and human beings, chickens feel pain and fear and value their own lives,” said PETA Executive Vice President Tracy Reiman in the letter, indicating her fear that if literate chickens read the road sign, they will be afraid, very afraid, and a scared chicken is helpless to fight back.
Reiman wants the mayor to change the name of the road to “one that celebrates chickens as individuals, not as beings to kill, chop up, and label as ‘dinner.’ ” She is a crazy as a loon, which are also birds, but not usually served as food.
In the letter, dated July 3, Reiman said she’s not trying to “ruffle any feathers,” [LOL] adding that words matter and “have the power to change lives.”
How did Chicken Dinner Road get that name?
The Idaho Press reported in 2016 the story of a woman named Laura Lamb [perhaps PETA would have wanted her to change her surname out of respect for lambs, but thankfully, they weren't around at the time] who, back in the 1930s, wanted the road--that was called at the time Lane 12--to be fixed.
She was friends with then-Gov. C. Ben Ross then Gov. C. Ben Ross, and she invited him and his wife to her farm for her famous chicken, apple pie and hot roll dinner,” to convince him that the road needed to be fixed, the article states.
The dinner worked, and Ross worked out a plan with Laura Lamb. If she could work with the Board of Canyon County Commissioners to get the road graded and graveled, the governor would see to providing the oil needed to fix the road.
Now there's more to the story but suffice it to say that the road's name is intimately tied into Idaho lore. The people at PETA need to get a life and just stop!
