Netanyahu confirms Israeli airstrike on Iranian weapons storehouses in Syria

At the start of last Sunday's cabinet meeting Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu confirmed Syrian media reports that Israel bombed the Iranian capital airport over the weekend.

“We are determined more than ever to take action against Iran in Syria,” Netanyahu declared at the beginning of the Sunday cabinet meeting.

“Just in the last 36 hours, the air force attacked Iranian warehouses with Iranian weapons at the international airport in Damascus,” the prime minister stated. “The accumulation of recent attacks proves that we are determined more than ever to take action against Iran in Syria, just as we promised.”

The Syrians filed a formal complaint Saturday with the United Nations Security Council over the attack on a “Ministry of Transport warehouse” at the Damascus airport late Friday night. Netanyahu clarified that the airstrike was part and parcel of the Jewish state’s ongoing efforts to stop Iran’s military from setting up a permanent presence in close proximity to Israel.

"How can we destroy Israel if they're going to blow up our weapons? This isn't fair," Iranian military official Hassan al Hassan said. "They keep doing this stuff just as we're about to attack."

Bibi, as he is warmly known as in Israel, was speaking in the context of thanking retiring Chief of Staff Gadi Eisenkot for all his success in leading the IDF action against the Iranian threat. [The IDF stands for Israeli Defense Forces.]

“The IDF – under your command – worked with exceptional cooperation with all of the security arms – the ISA, Mossad, Israel Police and other bodies,” Bibi said. “We worked with impressive success to block Iran’s military entrenchment in Syria. In this framework, the IDF attacked Iranian and Hezbollah targets hundreds of times.

“We worked together against the manufacture of precision weapons in Lebanon,” Netanyahu continued. “We worked to dismantle Hezbollah’s tunnels weapon in Lebanon, in Operation Northern Shield. We took action against Hamas tunnels on the Gaza border. We thwarted hundreds of terrorist attacks in Judea and Samaria and we carried out very many other actions, open and covert. The IDF has major achievements under your command. We yet have much work to do and we will do it.”

In fact, the IDF uncovered and demolished the sixth Hezbollah attack tunnel on Saturday afternoon, after which it announced the successful completion of Operation Northern Shield. The tunnel began about two thousand meters inside Syria and several hundred meters into Israel.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights publicized on Saturday that “two areas hosting military positions of Iranian forces and the [Iranian-backed] Lebanese Hezbollah movement” had been the targets, with the Hezbollah site being missile depots in the Al-Kiswah neighborhood of the capital.

Syrian military sources told the SANA news agency that the country’s air defenses had intercepted many of the missiles launched towards Damascus “and downed most of them.”

Despite their alleged success, the foreign ministry still turned to the U.N. to accuse Israel of being “no different” than the Islamic extremist organizations fighting the Syrian regime in their years-long civil war, and even stated that Israel had a “joint agenda” with those terrorists. Yeah, that makes a lot of sense--Israel working with the most religious people of a religion whose scripture calls for the killing of Jews.

Syria also accused the United States of helping Israel and of being guilty by association.

Let's hope that's true--we should unashamedly be helping our allies whenever they need our help. Especially Iran who calls for the death not only of Israel but of the United States.

Who does Syria think  is leading the USA, Barack Obama?

Will 2019 be the year you follow Brain Flushings and have a few laughs while you get a conservative viewpoint? Let's hope so, because politics is the new NFL without the mindless kneeling and this blog will both inform you and hopefully entertain you bigly.

Male professor barely escapes the death sentence for elevator joke

Sharoni is the one on the left
A male chauvinist pig of a professor had the gall, the utter audacity to make a sexist joke in a crowded elevator in the presence of a woman with a useless degree in women's and gender studies.

Richard Ned Lebow [no relation to the late, great Fred Lebow of the New York Road Runner's Club and NYC Marathon fame] is a professor of international political theory at King's [as opposed to Queen's] College in gun-violent London. He was in a crowded elevator when someone asked him what floor he needed to get off on, according to the leftist Washington Post.

Lebow told the time-honored joke often heard on elevators at large department stores. "Ladies' lingerie," he joked.

Unfortunately, he was attending the International Studies Association (ISA) conference in San Francisco at the time the joke was relaunched and Simona Sharoni happened to be aboard the lift.

Sharoni is a professor of women's and gender studies at Merrimack College in Massachusetts, where people under her tutelage hope to learn how to be better women or genders they believe they are. So in order to maintain her relevance in the academic community, Sharoni filed a complaint with the association several hours after those venomous words left those white man lips.

The association found that Lebow violated the group's code of conduct and he was sentenced to death at the hands of a gaggle of white lesbians who identified as Albino Black women.

Lebow even sent Sharoni an email telling her "I certainly had no desire to insult women or to make you feel uncomfortable." He also suggested that she may have "interpreted my remark out of context,"which pissed her off even more for his failure to grovel and whimper.

"Like you," he added, "I am strongly opposed to the exploitation, coercion or humiliation of women. As such evils continue, it seems to me to make sense to direct our attention to real offenses, not those that are imagined or marginal. By making a complaint to ISA that I consider frivolous--and I expect, will be judged this way by the ethics committee--you may be directing time and effort away from the real offenses that trouble us both."

What a whimpy slag.

So of course, the ISA committee found fault with Lebow because he correctly characterized Sharoni's complaint as "frivolous." He should have realized that leftist feminists have absolutely no sense of humor.

On the bright side, he refused to follow the committee's instructions to issue an "unequivocal apology." Bravo--your gonads must be proud.

Lebow told colleagues that this is "a horrifying and chilling example of political correctness" that "encourages others to censor their remarks for fear of retribution."

The professor finally woke up.

Sharoni decided to continue being an ass. She told The Chronicle, "For decades, women and other marginalized groups in the academy had to put up with white men who decided what counts as a violation and what is "frivolous. As someone who has dedicated her life to confronting sexism (and other forms of discrimination and oppression) in academic spaces, I cannot and will not remain silent when misogyny is at play."

Oppression? Western women now have made incredible inroads in society. They hold political positions, head large corporations, and many have real professorships that teach others actual skills that go beyond complaining about something they already have.

Lebow faces sanctions from ISA if he doesn't grovel by May 15th.

ISA refused to comment to my investigative reporter, Vinny Boombots due to his being a white guy.

Iran warns of 'firm response' if Obama doesn't stop sanctions renewal

"Stop, in the name of love"
Iranian President Hassan Rouhani tried his best to scare Barack Obama Sunday by demanding the lame duck block an extension of sanctions passed unanimously by the U.S. Congress. Rouhani threatened that if he allowed the sanction extension to go forward, Tehran would "firmly respond."

In a parliamentary speech, the Iranian president denounced legislation passed by our Congress to extend the Iran Sanctions Act (ISA) for 10 years as a violation (twice) of Tehran's nuclear deal with six major countries. The deal curbs Iran's nuclear program in return for lifting international financial sanctions.

It is believed that Obama will sign it on Friday, but you can never tell for certain. He has a soft spot for Iran which he gets from his senior adviser and Iran-born Valerie Jarrett.

"America's president is obliged to exercise his authority by preventing its approval and particularly its implementation . . . and if this gross violation is carried out, we will firmly respond," Rouhani said on live television to a cheering viewship chanting: "Death to America! Death to Israel!"

Iran was obliged not to violate the agreement but they did--twice--and they're upset that we're calling them on it? Too bad.

U.S. officials said the ISA renewal wouldn't infringe the nuclear deal and lawmakers say that the extension of the ISA would make it easier to quickly reimpose sanctions if [read 'when'] Iran contravened the deal.

Iran's solution to the ISA renewal was for their 290-seat parliament of assclowns to call for relaunching nuclear enrichment that was halted by the atomic deal, according to their official "news" agency IRNA.

That should get us to lift sanctions since we imposed them in the first place because of the nuclear enrichment they were doing.

Last month, Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei warned that extending the ISA would be viewed by them as a breach of the nuclear accord--and he threatened retaliation.

So, in Khamenei's view, Iran is allowed to violate the agreement and we can do nothing about it.

Khamenei criticized the nuclear deal blaming Rouhani for the government's failure to improve living standards after the sanctions were released. Perhaps if Tehran wasn't so corrupt, there would be more money available to improve those standards.

I suspect when Trump takes office next month things will be dramatically different between our two nations.
