‘Deeply Ashamed’ Larry Summers, Ex-Harvard Boss and Clinton/Obama Bigwig, Ducks Public Life as Epstein Ties Blow Up in His Face

Folks, the Jeffrey Epstein sewer just keeps bubbling over, and once again the Democrats are the ones getting splashed while they scream “But Trump!” at the top of their lungs. Funny how that works.

The latest casualty is none other than Lawrence H. Summers: former Harvard president, Clinton Treasury Secretary, Obama economic guru, and all-around Democratic elite insider who apparently couldn't quit Jeffrey Epstein even after the whole world knew the guy was a convicted child-sex predator. 

On Monday night, Summers announced he's crawling into a hole and stepping back from public life. The Harvard Crimson broke the news with this gem of a statement from the man himself:

"I am deeply ashamed of my actions and recognize the pain they have caused. I take full responsibility for my misguided decision to continue communicating with Mr. Epstein. While continuing to fulfill my teaching obligations, I will be stepping back from public commitments as one part of my broader effort to rebuild trust and repair relationships with the people closest to me."

"Rebuild trust." Sure, Larry. Good luck with that after the House Oversight Committee just dumped seven years of your cozy emails with Epstein, running clear through 2019, long after his 2008 plea deal for soliciting prostitution from a minor and long after the Miami Herald exposed his underage trafficking operation.

We're talking banter about dating advice, Summers actually asking the creep whether he should send a note to some woman he had the hots for. Cringe doesn't even begin to cover it. Meanwhile, the same Democrat clown car that’s been screeching "Trump is Epstein’s best buddy!" for years can't explain why their own delegate Stacey Plaskett was texting the guy during a 2019 congressional hearing, or why Hakeem Jeffries turns into a stuttering wreck every time someone asks him about it. Watching Chuck Schumer and Jeffries flail around trying to defend their team is peak comedy gold.

Harvard, that former shining beacon on the hill, that has been a nonstop embarrassment factory lately, just added another stain to the rug. Summers says he'll keep teaching (of course he will; tenure is forever), but he's vanishing from the public stage. If my kid were enrolled in one of his classes right now, I'd be on the phone with the registrar faster than you can say "drop-add period."

Look, Summers has survived scandals before: remember when he got run out of the Harvard presidency in 2006 after daring to suggest there might be biological reasons men dominate some STEM fields? [A lot of us thought that one got twisted way out of context, but whatever.] But this Epstein mess is a different animal entirely. This one sticks.

The left spent years trying to glue Trump to Epstein with zero evidence that actually matters, and every time they yank on that thread they end up clotheslining their own guys: Bill Clinton on the Lolita Express flight logs, now Larry Summers swapping rom-com tips with a monster. Keep swinging, Democrats. You'Mire doing a bang-up job taking out your own roster while Trump just sits back and watches the self-own parade roll by.

As the old Southwest Airlines ads used to say… Wanna get away, Larry? Yeah, we bet you do.

Harvard settles anti-Semitism lawsuits and makes promise

Harvard University has settled two lawsuits about antisemitism that were put together by a federal judge in November 2024. These lawsuits obviously made Harvard look bad and suggested that Ivy League schools might be places where anti-Jewish hatred and support for terrorism are growing.

As reported earlier by Jewish outlet The Algemeiner, Harvard was hit with two separate lawsuits in 2024. One was from the Louis D. Brandeis Center for Human Rights Under Law, which claimed that Harvard didn't punish a professor who mistreated Israeli-Jewish students, even after an outside investigation confirmed it. This, they said, broke federal civil rights laws. The other lawsuit came from Students Against Antisemitism (SAA), who argued that Harvard didn't do enough to stop a wave of antisemitic actions on campus, like harassment and hate speech.

Initially, Harvard tried to get the lawsuits dismissed in court, arguing that the claims "lacked standing" and didn't hold up legally, all while stating, "the importance of the need to address antisemitism at the university," according to court documents.

With the settlement, which came just one day after President Donald Trump's inauguration — who promised to tax universities where antisemitism is widespread — Harvard avoids a long legal battle that the Jewish community might have seen as a refusal to acknowledge the discrimination faced by Jewish students.

“Today’s settlement reflects Harvard’s enduring commitment to ensuring our Jewish students, faculty, and staff are embraced, respected, and supported,” Harvard stated in a press release. “We will continue to strengthen our policies, systems, and operations to combat antisemitism and all forms of hate and ensure all members of the Harvard community have the support they need to pursue their academic, research, and professional work and feel they belong on our campus and in our classrooms.”

According to the agreement, Harvard will use the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance (IHRA) definition of antisemitism in its non-discrimination and anti-bullying policies (NDAB), recognize Zionism as central to Jewish identity, and clearly state that targeting someone because of their Zionism violates school rules.

The Harvard Crimson reported that one plaintiff, Shabbos Kestenbaum, has decided not to join the settlement and is seeking his own legal action with a new lawyer.

All other involved parties praised the case's outcome as a step forward.

“We are heartened that Harvard has agreed to take numerous important steps necessary to creating a welcoming environment free from anti-Semitic hate, discrimination, and harassment,” Brandeis Center chairman Kenneth Marcus said in a statement about the settlement. “We thank those within Harvard, including administrators, faculty, students, and alumni, who have worked tirelessly to achieve this result. In turn, we look forward to working with Harvard on the important work in this agreement to ensure that the rights of all students are protected.”

SAA attorney Marc Kasowtiz told Reuters, “These measures are going to be very, very protective of the interests and rights of Jewish students on the Harvard campus.”

Harvard isn't the first elite school to settle such a claim by Jewish students.

In June, Columbia University settled a lawsuit where it was accused of failing to provide a safe learning environment during rowdy pro-Hamas protests at the end of the school year. The settlement included hiring "Safe Passage Liaisons" to watch over protests and "walking escorts" to protect students. Other parts of the agreement offered "accommodations" for students whose studies were affected by protests and new security measures for controlling who enters the school.

In July, New York University (NYU) settled a lawsuit for an undisclosed amount after three students claimed the university was "deliberately indifferent" to antisemitic discrimination. Like Harvard, NYU agreed to formally acknowledge Zionism as part of Jewish identity.

The Harvard Piggy Bank is Getting Lighter

It's beginning to look a lot less like Christmas for Harvard University's coffers. The Harvard Crimson reported on Tuesday that billionaire hedge fund manager and huge donor Kenneth C. Griffin would be pausing his donations to the institution of woke learning.

Griffin threw $300,000,000 to the Faculty of Arts and Sciences in the past. He said during his keynote address to the Managed Funds Association in Miami on Tuesday that he is putting a pause on his purse due to the DEI woke policies of the university.

 

“I’d like that to change and I have made that clear to members of the corporate board,” he said, referring to the garbage policies Harvard has implemented. “But until Harvard makes it very clear that they’re going to resume their role as educating young American men and women to be leaders, to be problem solvers, to take on difficult issues, I’m not interested in supporting the institution.”

Griffin, 55, said he was tired of  "whiny snowflakes" promoting their far-left, progressive yet backward ideas like Diversity, Equity and Inclusion programs.

“Will America’s elite university get back to their roots of educating American children – young adults – to be the future leaders of our country or are they going to maintain being lost in the wilderness of microaggressions, a DEI agenda that seems to have no real endgame, and just being loss in the wilderness?” he asked.

Griffin, who is the owner and CEO of Citadel, is also not a fan of Jew hatred. He confirmed that he will follow the lead of Bill Ackman and refuse to hire those anti-Semites who signed an open letter calling for the boycott of Israel after Hamas, Palestinian Islamic Jihad and civilian Gazans butchered, tortured, burned and beheaded people of Israel last October 7.

The hedge fund manager, who graduated from the university in 1988, has donated, to date, a staggering $500 million to the university.

His generosity was acknowledged by the Crimson, which explained:

Griffin is arguably one of the most generous Harvard donors in the University’s modern history. The Harvard Graduate School of Arts and Sciences is named after him as well as Harvard College’s financial aid office. His decision to stop donating could have major financial implications for the University, which is already struggling to contain a wave of donor backlash.

Griffin is the second billionaire donor to suspend contributions to the university in recent months. Billionaire philanthropist Leonard V. Blavatnik, who gave $200 million to Harvard Medical School in 2018, similarly announced late last year that he would be suspending his donations to the institution.

In October, after the attack in Israel, shipping and chemicals magnate Idan Ofer and his wife Batia -- worth an estimated $14 billion -- resigned from the executive board of Harvard's Kennedy School of Government due to their anger about the anti-Semitic student groups on campus that supported the Hamassholes. 

Griffin's announcement comes several weeks after the university's far-left Erkel-look-alike president, Claudine Gay, reluctantly announced her resignation after giving Congressional testimony in which she refused to condemn calls by Harvard students for genocide as well as a growing body of evidence that she was a serial plagiarizer.

Despite her obvious failures, Gay repeatedly refused to resign and reportedly threatened to sue Harvard University if she were removed. She now just teaches wokeness and earns over $900,000 annually.

Eventually, she succumbed to the pressure and handed in her resignation, although somewhat predictably blamed it on "personal attacks and threats fueled by racial animus" rather than her personal failures.

Harvard's Gay faces 6 news plagiarism charges: not to worry; she's oppressed

Harvard's President Claudine Gay is fortunate that she isn't a student at the university she heads because if that were so, based on school policy, she would be kicked out in a heartbeat. The affirmative action hire is facing six more plagiarism charges to add to the list she already has, but the Harvard board is standing behind her and refuse to call for her resignation due to the melanin level in her epidermis.

The latest plagiarism charges were initially reported by The Washington Free Beacon and made the claim: "In a 2001 article, Gay lifts nearly half a page of material verbatim from another scholar, David Canon, a political science professor at the University of Wisconsin."

The Beacon reports that the total number of plagiarism allegations against Gay is now almost 50, or about "half of Gay's published works." 

Although Gay may not be gay, which would put her in a special protected class of the 'oppressed', she is, to say the least, an anti-Semite, and that's good enough for Harvard. 

Some students are calling for her resignation for that and the plagiarism allegations. Of course, the student newspaper, Harvard Crimson, had an editorial saying Gay should stay, because of some reason that only the opinion writer is aware of.

The editorial received a rebuttal by Brooks Anderson and Joshua Kaplan who wrote: "Harvard’s presidency is no mere empty honor; it is a deeply challenging managerial job with deeply challenging duties, not least of which is navigating national outcry. In each of these respects, Gay has failed. The Harvard Corporation must find a leader who can do better."

Fox News  reported that there were many possible examples of plagiarism that was shared by the Free Beacon. "At one point, Gay borrows four sentences from Canon’s 1999 book, Race, Redistricting, and Representation: The Unintended Consequences of Black Majority Districts, without quotation marks and with only minor semantic tweaks," the outlet summarized. "[Gay] does not cite Canon anywhere in or near the passage, though he does appear in the bibliography."

Canon told the Free Beacon that he was not "concerned" about the controversial passages in question.

But is it Canon's business whether or not to be concerned, or the board whose concern should be focused on the qualifications and integrity of their school president? And let's remember, this is not the only example of possible plagiarism Gay is accused of, and then there's that good old anti-Semitism thing she's got going for herself.

Kristen Clarke is a racist and anti-Semite all rolled into one

In a recent opinion piece in hard-left The Forward by Michael Adam Latz titled: "Jews must stop letting the right smear Kristen Clarke as anti-semitic--she's the leader we need," the author would have us believe that Clarke's 1994 letter to the Harvard Crimson is merely an indication that she is "even more sensitive to the concerns of the Jewish community." And the only reason conservatives are trying to label her as antisemitic is only to impede her appointment to the Department of Justice's Civil Rights Division.

Hardly.

Let's first consider the letter she wrote in 1994 when she was the president of the Black Studies Association.

"Please use the following theories & observations to assist you in your search for truth regarding the genetic differences between Blacks & whites," she began. [Notice that she capitalizes Blacks but uses lower case for whites. Not a good look to start off with, but let's continue.]

"One: Dr Richard king reveals that at the core of the human brain is the 'locus coeruleus,' which is a structure that is Black, because it contains large amounts of neuro-melanin which is essential for its operation."

"Two: Black infants sit, stand, crawl & walk sooner than whites." [What's her point? Horses and cattle stand at birth and snakes crawl at birth too, but you are seeing where she's going with this.]

"Three: Carol Barnes notes that human mental processes are controlled by melanin--the same chemical which gives Blacks their superior physical & mental abilities." 

"Four: Some scientists have revealed that most whites are unable to produce melanin because their pineal glands are often calcified or non-functioning."

"Pineal calcification rates with Africans are five to 15 percent, Asian 15 to 25 percent and Europeans 60 to 80 percent. This is the chemical basis for the cultural differences between Blacks and whites."

"Five: Melanin endows Blacks with greater mental, physical and spiritual abilities--something which cannot be measured based on Eurocentric standards."

Ironically, the year prior to Clarke's racist letter to the Harvard Crimson, the Yearbook of Physical Anthropology 36:33-58 (1993) scientifically disputed her melanin gobble-dee-gook in an article titled: "Melanin, Afrocentricity, and Pseudoscience," by Bernard R. Ortiz, Anthropology Department, Wayne State University, Detroit, Michigan.

Ortiz's abstract:

"ABSTRACT A component of the Afrocentric movement has incorporated a theory that black people, including ancient Egyptians, have superior mental, physical, and paranormal powers because they have more melanin both in their skin and in their brains. By extension it is also claimed that black people have more melatonin and P-MSH in their systems and that these compounds also contribute to the superiority of people of color over whites. In this paper, these claims are detailed and refuted. A review of the genetics and biochemistry of human pigmentation shows that all humans have similar amounts of neuromelanin (brain melanin), and that its concentration is absolutely independent of skin color; that adult humans do not synthesize P-MSH; and that human melatonin has no clearly demonstrable physiological function and no relationship to skin color. “Melanists” also distort human evolution by claiming that European whites are descendants of negroid albinos. The main problems posed by this ideological movement are that it will increase the already rampant scientific illiteracy in this country, it will contribute to further widening the gap between the races, and, most importantly, it is being introduced into the public school curriculum under the guise of multicultural education."

So there's that.
