BREAKING: Mollie Tibbetts' alleged killer an illegal immigrant

An illegal immigrant has been arrested in the murder of Mollie TIbbetts and is on federal immigration detainer.

The suspect is in custody and being held on the detainer, the Associated Press and other media reported on Tuesday.

Cristhean Rivera, 24, was charged with first-degree murder in Tibbetts' death.

Mollie vanished July 18th. A surveillance tape was crucial that showed Rivera in his car. He said he was following her and eventually started to chase her. She told him to get away from her and tried to call police.

She had a "Fit Bit" and cell phone with her which may have helped police find her body.

Rivera said he "blacked out," which sounds like bull crap, but he needs an excuse to get him off the hook. He has lived in the area from 4 to 7 years.
