As the saying goes: calling an illegal alien an undocumented immigrant is like calling a drug dealer an unlicensed pharmacist. Words have meaning; words count.
Jose A. Vargas, a former Washington Post reporter, was one of the first who cried out against calling illegal aliens in that term. Instead, he openly declared himself an "undocumented immigrant," and the leftist press cheered him on. According to Michelle Malkin,(The Open-Borders “Journalists” Who Banned “Illegal Immigrant,” Creator's Syndicate, 2013) however, Vargas had fake documents up the wazoo, including a fake passport with false name, fake green card and a Social Security card that his grandfather doctored for him. Guess documenting runs in the family--illegal documents, that is.
The Associated Press (Ass Press, for short), has taken the term "illegal alien" out of its style book. You can't say "an illegal" either, unless it's in a direct quote.
Malkin believes that there may soon come a time when "border crossers, illegal visa overstayers, illegal deportatoin evaders, document fraudsters and illegal alien traffickers are referred to as "our fellow Americans." Without the quotation marks. Mark my words."
So, as long as we're not going to call people who cross the US border from a foreign country without documentation and who are breaking US law, illegal aliens, why should we call people who supposedly report the news in a fair, balanced and unbiased way, "journalists" when it's obvious they are merely shills for the vast left wing conspiracy? As Jay Leno said, "they will no longer be called 'illegal immigrants", they will now be called 'undocumented Democrats." Many a truth has been said in jest.
