Man found with explosive devices faces more charges

"Jose can you see?"
Niagara Falls, NY -- A western New York man, Jose M. Gandia, 47, was found to have nine explosive devices in his home and is now facing more charges, according to police.

Gandia is now charged with unlawful possession of a destructive device, and unlawful possession of a sawed-off shotgun, according to U.S. Attorney James P. Kennedy Jr. He faces up to ten years in prison if found guilty, which seems to be a pretty sure thing based on the physical evidence.

The suspect also faces other charges, including assaulting a police officer and menacing.
Clearing Gandia's apartment
Authorities explained that it all began when state troopers responded to reports of a guy pointing a shotgun with a red laser out of a pickup truck on the New York State Thruway on Wednesday morning. A trooper located the pickup truck and attempted to handcuff Gandia when Gandia got out of his car and a scuffle ensued.

Gandia was finally handcuffed, arrested, and police reportedly found several weapons along with a pipe bomb in his truck. Authorities also recovered nine “possible” destructive devices from inside Gandia's home, law enforcement officials said.

Five of the devices were attached to two separate propane tanks. Two of the devices were near the residence's front entrance and two were near the rear — all of which were rigged to detonate.

This certainly sounds like domestic terrorism and it is unknown at this time whether or not Gandia is a member of Antifa. Maybe he is, or maybe he's not. Let's wait and see, that I can tell you.

BREAKING: at least 8 killed in Texas high school--shooter in custody, 1 detained

Santa Fe, Texas -- A Texas high school student entered an art classroom and opened fire. It isn't clear yet if he used a rifle or shotgun at this time. At least 8 and possibly 10 people were killed and 3 people, one a police officer, a resource officer and one other person are currently in the hospital.

The suspected shooter was taken into police custody and a second suspect has been detained, both to be questioned in detail.

Law enforcement responded to Santa Fe High School around 8 a.m. local time, after reports of an active shooting was happening inside the school.

As this is being written, police are searching the school for explosive weapons. At this moment, possible explosive devices have been located and removed from the campus and in the area near campus.

The chief nursing officer at the University of Texas Medical Branch told the media they received 2 adult patients and one person under 18 years of age. One male patient is said to be in critical condition.

Galveston County Sheriff's Maj. Douglas Hudson said that units responded to reports of shots fired and witnesses said a gunman began firing inside an art class during first period.

Two seniors at the school told local KHOU 11 their friend pulled the fire alarm after spotting the shooter and urged other students to run. This, of course, made the hallways a virtual shooting gallery.

Aerial footage on scene showed students standing in an open grassy field having their backpacks inspected by police. Three life-flight helicopters landed at the school.

There are approximately 14,000 students who attend the school, located about 30 miles southeast of Houston.
