POTUS watches airstrikes on Houthis in Yemen as increased US military action continues

The White House released photos of our Commander-in-Chief, President Donald Trump watching airstrikes on Iran-sponsored Houthis in Yemen on Saturday. Now that Trump is President and Biden is spending a weekend at Bernie's, the U.S. has responded to defend the terror group's aggression toward shipping in the Red Sea. 

"President Trump is taking action against the Houthis to defend US shipping assets and deter terrorist threats," the White House posted on X, sharing photos of Trump, along with Secretary of State Marco Rubio and National Security Adviser Mike Waltz.  "For too long American economic & national threats have been under assault by the Houthis. Not under this presidency."

Trump wrote in a Saturday TRUTHSocial post that [as Commander-in-Chief] he had "ordered the United States Military to launch decisive and powerful Military action against the Houthi terrorists in Yemen."

"Our brave Warfighters are right now carrying out aerial attacks on the terrorists’ bases, leaders, and missile defenses to protect American shipping, air, and naval assets, and to restore Navigational Freedom," Trump said. "No terrorist force will stop American commercial and naval vessels from freely sailing the Waterways of the World."

It sounds as if the word 'warfighters' has replaced 'warriors' and 'military.' It definitely sounds cooler.

U.S. Central Command [CENTCOM] said Saturday it "initiated a series of operations consisting of precision strikes against Iran-backed Houthi targets across Yemen to defend American interests, deter enemies, and restore freedom of navigation."

State Department spokesperson Tammy Bruce [she's not just a Fox News contributor anymore] said in a statement that Mr. Rubio spoke with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov on Saturday.

"The Secretary informed Russia of U.S. military deterrence operations against the Iran-backed Houthis and emphasized that continued Houthi attacks on U.S. military and commercial shipping vessels in the Red Sea will not be tolerated," Bruce wrote. "Secretary Rubio and Foreign Minister Lavrov also discussed next steps to follow up on recent meetings in Saudi Arabia and agreed to continue working towards restoring communication between the United States and Russia."

The Houthi-run Health Ministry in Yemen said the strikes killed at least 31 people, which is what they were intended to do along with destroying any Houthi infrastructure that could be destroyed.

The Houthis had been firing upon international shipping using missiles and drones at Israel in what they claimed were acts of solidarity with the Arabs in the Gaza Strip, but what we all know is anti-Semitic hatred that has been going on since Mohammad was a corporal.  

The attacks stopped when a make-believe Israel-Hamas ceasefire went into effect in Gaza in January. The Houthis then threatened to renew them after Israel cut off the flow of humanitarian aid to Gaza this month following the Hamas rejection of a U.S. framework for continuing the cease-fire and hostage releases.

Iran has been providing weapons and other military aid to the Houthis and the U.S. Navy seized missile parts made in Iran along with other weapons that were bound for the Houthis.

Gen. Hossein Salami-on-Rye, head of Iran's paramilitary Revolutionary Guard, denied his country was involved in the Houthis' attacks.

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, in a post on X, urged the U.S. to halt the strikes and said Washington cannot dictate Iran's foreign policy, especially when it came to the, you know, Joooze! "How can we arm the Houthis and destroy Israel if you're going to destroy the arms?" he asked.

Trump asserted that "[T]he Houthi attack on American vessels will not be tolerated. We will use overwhelming lethal force until we have achieved our objective. The Houthis have choked off shipping in one of the most important Waterways of the World, grinding vast swaths of Global Commerce to a halt, and attacking the core principle of Freedom of Navigation upon which International Trade and Commerce depends."

Trump said that the Houthis "have waged an unrelenting campaign of piracy, violence, and terrorism against American, and other, ships, aircraft, and drones."

"Joe Biden’s response was pathetically weak, so the unrestrained Houthis just kept going," he wrote on TRUTHSocial.

Does anyone in good conscience disagree?

Trump said it has been more than a year since a U.S.-flagged commercial ship safely sailed through the Suez Canal, the Red Sea, or the Gulf of Aden.

"The last American Warship to go through the Red Sea, four months ago, was attacked by the Houthis over a dozen times. Funded by Iran, the Houthi thugs have fired missiles at U.S. aircraft, and targeted our Troops and Allies. These relentless assaults have cost the U.S. and World Economy many BILLIONS of Dollars while, at the same time, putting innocent lives at risk," Trump wrote.

"To all Houthi terrorists, YOUR TIME IS UP, AND YOUR ATTACKS MUST STOP, STARTING TODAY. IF THEY DON’T, HELL WILL RAIN DOWN UPON YOU LIKE NOTHING YOU HAVE EVER SEEN BEFORE!" Trump said.

The president added, "To Iran: Support for the Houthi terrorists must end IMMEDIATELY! Do NOT threaten the American People, their President, who has received one of the largest mandates in Presidential History, or Worldwide shipping lanes. If you do, BEWARE, because America will hold you fully accountable and, we won’t be nice about it!"

The Houthis have targeted over 100 merchant vessels with missiles and drones, sinking two and killing four sailors, during their campaign targeting military and civilian ships between the start of the Israel-Hamas war in October 2023 and January of this year, when the ceasefire in Gaza took effect, according to the AP. 

And they have the utter audacity to complain that we killed some of their terrorists in response.

Although the U.S. have attacked the Houthis with the assistance of other nations, Saturday's response was solely American.

The Trump administration re-designated the Houthis as a foreign terrorist organization earlier this month, after the Biden administration had lifted the group's designation in 2021 because he was told to do so by somebody behind the proverbial curtain.

Will we ever know who was running the country into the ground under Biden's tenure?

Secretary of State John Kerry has as much influence over Vladimir Putin as a yo-yo has with a shark. Putin has totally ignored Kerry's supplications to cease bombing non-combatant Syrians and allow them to receive critical humanitarian aid lest they starve to death.

As a response to Kerry, Putin has escalated the air sorties and deployed Russia's most lethal fighter jets to Syria, the Su-35S, with air-to-air and air-to-ground capabilities.

The Russian airstrikes hit Syrian opposition forces, some of which are CIA-backed. These attacks have derailed proposed peace talks in Geneva Wednesday, but perhaps Kerry can 'do a Hillary' and send them another reset button.

Putin backed two U.N. resolutions supporting a ceasefire, but has broken its promise to stop bombing civilians--much like Iran will likely do once they develop a nuclear weapon they say they will not develop.

Kerry was optimistic when in Rome: "[T]here will be a ceasefire. We expect a ceasefire. And we expect adherence to the ceasefire. And we expect full humanitarian access."

And unicorns.

Two days after Kerry spoke, the Russians were bombing like a Mohammad YouTube video. Hundreds of thousands of Syrians have no access to food supplies and are literally starving.

Kerry claimed he was assured by his Russian counterpart,  Sergei Lavrov, that the bombings would stop. Big surprise--Lavrov lied. (See also Iran Nuclear Talks for more of the same.)

"I talked to Foreign Minister Lavrov a couple of days ago," the naive Kerry said, "and I specifically discussed a ceasefire with him, and he said they are prepared to have a ceasefire."

The very next day Lavrov figuratively flipped him off and told him the strikes would continue. "Russian strikes will not cease [in Syria]," he said. "I don't see why these airstrikes should be stopped." A few hours later the U.N. talks went south, but Kerry continued to whine.

"It could not be more clear. That is an obligation that is not tied to talks. It is an obligation accepted by all parties in the United Nations resolution. Russia voted for that; Russia has a responsibility, as do all parties, to live up to it," Lavrov said.

Since Monday, Russia has already carried out over 300 strikes, none of them perfunctory like ours.

The State Department has denied the peace conference was a waste of time, but they are the same idiots who wanted an extra month to produce more of Hillary Clinton's emails due to a snow storm.

Our administration is run by liberals who use cries of "politically motivated" to give cover for their rank incompetence.

Putin demonstrates leadership to Obama

As Putin's air strikes continue in Syria, Obama continues "expressing [his] concerns" and that has been the Obama administration's strategy from day one. Not only did Putin take Obama's lunch money, Sergey Lavrov, the Russian counterpart to Kerry, is making our so-called secretary of state look like the lap dog that he is. Perhaps Lavrov will be kind to the fellow communist.

Putin and Obama were at the UN on Monday and Vladimir wanted a photo op with Barack, which he got. The photo was all the Russian autocrat needed in order to show his peeps that he still can play with the big boys, and in this case, with the "mom's jeans boy.

All Putin had to do to score the PR shot was to allow Obama to lecture him about Russia's needs, something Obama knows better than Putin, according to Obama. 

POTUS lectured about how we must all cooperate to communicate, and kumbayah. Putin did all the communicating he needed to do as he strategized upcoming air strikes on the American-backed forces. 

In fact, Putin's response was quicker than Obama's was when our "fearless leader" called for gun control after the Oregon shooting while the bodies were still warm. Putin had his 3-star general enter the U.S. embassy in Baghdad and issue a non-negotiable declaration, instructing our official there that Russia would commence airstrikes within the hour and that we had better get the hell out of the way.

In diplomatic terms, this was a kick in the gonads with a loogie to the eyes as we fell to the ground.

Putin's forces started their bombing runs and he claimed they were targeting ISIS. Of course trusting anything Putin tells Obama is like trusting Obama with the Iranian nuclear deal.

After Sergei Lavrov spoke at the U.N., it was the lesser speaker, John Kerry's turn. He gave a blistering denunciation that had Lavrov peeing in his Dolce & Gabbana trousers. "I relayed and reiterated the concerns that I expressed in the course of the U.N. Security Council meeting which was led by Russia today: concerns that we have about the nature of the targets, the type of targets, and the need for clarity with respect to them. And it is one thing obviously to be targeting ISIL. We're concerned, obviously, if that is not what is happening."

In diplomatic terms, this translates to mean: "Kerry is a pussy." 

But fear not, my patriot friends. We have a so-called president who assures us that when all is said and done, Russia, Syria, Iran and ISIS will be "on the wrong side of history."

That ought to make them feel guilty and get them to stop and go home.
