BREAKING: R. Kelly set at $1 Million: charged with 10 counts of criminal sexual assault

Photo: Chicago PD

Chicago -- R. Kelly [aka Robert Kelly] was charged with 10 counts of criminal sexual abuse with at least three underage victims. This comes after rumors and allegations that Kelly was abusing underage girls for decades.

Kelly has denied these allegations and his attorney, Steve Greenberg, told the media "I think all the women are lying." [This will probably not sit well with the Me Too movement.] Greenberg continued, "Mr. Kelly is strong, [he overpowered them?] he's got a lot of support and he's going to be vindicated on all these charges--one by one if it has to be."

Kelly, who allegedly sings songs,  turned himself in Friday night. He arrived at the Central District police station in Chicago in a large, black van and wearing a hoodie and a bright blue coat.

Apparently not only does Jussie Smollett lie, but all the women in Chicago do as well, if you believe Kelly's lawyer.

Kelly is one of the top-selling recording artists of all time. He has won multiple Grammys, including for his hit song "I Believe I Can Fly." It isn't known if he wrote that song while high.

This story is still developing but check back in at Brain Flushings later.

DNC co-chair Keith Ellison accused of abuse by ex-girlfriend

Democratic National Committee co-chair Rep. Keith Ellison (D-MN) has been accused of emotional and physical abuse by an ex-girlfriend, Karen Monahan.

The allegations came to light Saturday night after Monahan's son, Austin Monahan, 25, alleged in a Facebook post that he saw text messages threatening his mother and a video of Ellison screaming obscenities at her as he dragged her from a bed by her feet, the Associated Press reported.

Ellison denied the allegations Sunday in a brief statement: "I never behaved in this way."

Austin went on: "My brother and I watched our mom come out of pure hell after getting out of her relationship with Keith Ellison."

Karen Monahan said the Austin's post was truthful.

"Every statement he made was true. @keithelllison, you know you did that to me," she tweeted.

The alleged victim didn't respond to a request from the AP asking for copies of the video or text messages.

"Karen and I were in a long-term relationship which ended in 2016, and I still care deeply for her well-being," Ellison said. "This video does not exist because I never behaved in this way, and any characterization otherwise is false."

As much as I dislike the Louis Farrakhan-loving Ellison, he should be considered innocent until proven guilty.

A little bit about Ellison:

He grew up in Detroit, was raised Catholic, converted to Islam at the age of 19, and married his high school sweetheart, Kim, in 1987. They moved to Minneapolis where he attended the U. of Minnesota Law School and graduated in 1990.

It isn't clear if she paid his way through school, but they have four children and divorced in 2012.

While in law school, Ellison wrote several articles in support of the anti-Semite, and flaming racist, Louis Farrakhan.

Ellison posted photos on his Twitter account showing him posing with Monahan which only proves they knew each other.

And while a person is considered innocent until proven otherwise, Democrats such as Hillary Clinton, feel that women should be believed, unless those women have been sexually assaulted or harassed by her husband.

Of course, if there are records of texts and video, they should be turned over to law enforcement.
