IDF troops dressed as Arabs capture top terror leader who tried to escape

The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) captured Mahmoud al-Bana, a well-known terrorist in Nablus, Samaria. Bana used to lead the Lions’ Den terrorist group. When the IDF first caught him, Bana tried to run away, so the soldiers shot him in the leg to stop him, and they were successful while he was not.

To catch Bana, Israeli soldiers dressed up as Palestinians and drove a vehicle from the Palestinian Authority (PA) to trick him. The Lions’ Den group started in 2022 and isn’t part of Hamas or Islamic Jihad. That same year, Bana turned himself in to the PA but was let go later.

The Lions’ Den is mostly based in Nablus but has groups all over the country. A person from Nablus told TPS, “The Lions managed to escape the watchful eye of the Israeli Shin Bet and proved that both the Palestinian Authority, the Americans and the Shin Bet cannot stand up to the new spirit of resistance.”
Hamas supports the “Lions” and leads them. 

Many young leaders in the Lions’ Den are Hamas members. The source said, “the brain is Hamas, and the hands are Fatah,” meaning Hamas plans things while Fatah members carry them out.

The source also called the Lions’ Den an “enhanced version of the Al-Aqsa Martyrs’ Brigade – Fatah activists working under Hamas.” He added, “In 2000, the Al-Aqsa Martyrs operated in coordination with Hezbollah and the Revolutionary Guards and also in coordination with Hamas, but today, the situation is different and Hamas plays a much more significant role in the establishment of the armed organization.”

Still, the source said, “it is not possible to reveal all the things nor the extent of the involvement of Hamas.” The Lions’ Den members are young people born after the 2000 intifada, a time of violent uprising. They’ve lost hope in the Palestinian and Fatah leaders. But the source believes this group is the only thing that can bring all Palestinians together and push them to act.

Imagine the danger the IDF soldiers faced while dressed as Arabs who call themselves Palestinians.

Israeli Defense Forces had four Lion's Den terrorists [that's what they really call themselves], running away with their tails tucked between their legs, making their way to the Palestinian Authority for protection from a bunch of "never again" Jews. 

The Lion's Den is based in Nablus (Shechem).

Lion's Den is an upstart Palestinian terror group that launched a series of attacks on Israelis, but when the IDF struck back, supposedly assassinating a top scumcrumpet commander along with a bunch of other terrorists, the group decided that they don't like it when the Jews fight back. It's one thing to fire rockets at schools, civilian dwellings, hospitals and populated neighborhoods, but when there's retaliation, well, it's time to pack it in and run like hell.

On Thursday, the Israeli media reported that at least four frightened members of the terror group had turned themselves in to the Palestinian Authority.

The development appeared in local Palestinian media stories reporting that one of the four terrorists who surrendered was Mahmoud al-Bana, a leading Lion’s Den member wounded and sporting a significant booboo during an IDF raid on Tuesday. He kept insisting, "I'm not crying; you're crying."

The Times of Israel reported, “[D]uring the Tuesday raid, Israeli troops killed the apparent leader of the group and four other gunmen, and destroyed a bomb factory. On Wednesday, another three members were arrested by Israeli troops. Earlier this week, another prominent member was killed in an explosion attributed to Israel.”

"The hell with the 72 virgins," one terrorist reportedly shouted as he made book from the scene. "I'm outta here."

The Times report added, “Lion’s Den has claimed near-nightly attacks on troops and Israeli civilians in the [Shechem] area in recent months.”

The terror group itself appeared to disavow the four “cowardly” lions, issuing a confusingly worded statement that said: “The Lion’s Den group has not asked any official or security body, no matter how respectable, to hand over our fighters [to them], and whoever surrenders himself, this is their decision and choice.”

In response to a terror wave that claimed the lives of 19 Israelis since the beginning of the year, the IDF launched an anti-terror campaign called Operation Wave Breaker that has resulted 2,000 arrests, nightly raids on Palestinian terror strongholds, and the deaths of scores of terrorists, many of whom were eliminated during acts of terror or armed clashes with law enforcement.

In a reported deal, the PA agrees to imprison the cowardly lions to protect them from the Israeli meanies.

Commander al-Bana is expected to be transferred to protective custody in a Jericho-area prison where he will be provided with 3 hots and a cot, along with a litter box and a scratching post.
