Under the government's radar

The terrorists involved with each of the three Islamic terrorist attacks in Britain were known to authorities but they failed to act to stop them and 34 lives were lost. So it's the same in the U.K. as it is in the U.S.A. in terms of the nine most frightening words as per Ronald Reagan: "I'm from the government and I'm here to help."

British officials admit the Westminster Bridge attacker, Khalid Masood was on police radar. They admitted the Manchester bomber Salman Abedi was on police radar. And they admitted London Bridge terrorist Khuram Butt was on police radar.

All had links to Islamic extremism. But in all three cases, the jihadists were not viewed as sufficient threats to cause concern.

In another case, Italian intelligence operatives told Politico Europe the another member of the London Bridge trash trio, Moroccan-born Youssef Zaghba, was detained while attempting to fly from Italy to Istanbul--probably bound for ISIS-controlled territory in Syria, in March of last year.


Here's the clincher: when he was asked why he was flying to Turkey, Zaghba said, "I'm going to be a terrorist." Seriously.

So Italian officials warned Moroccan and British authorities about the guy, but British police issued a statement on Tuesday that Zaghba "was not a police or MI5 subject of interest."

Butt was publicly open about supporting ISIS to the point the guy appeared in a documentary "The Jihadis Next Door."

Imagine how incredibly stupid the British have to be for them to make a video about jihadists and then let them go untethered to kill innocent people. Either the British need to get their freaking radar system checked, or stop being afraid of being labeled 'Islamophobic' by people who want to shame you into looking the other way.

The documentary showed Butt praying by an ISIS flag with a radical Muslim leader who's a close buddy of the scum muffin Anjem Choudary. 

Why wasn't that enough to take away his citizenship and send him packing to Syria? 

Let him fight for ISIS there if he wants to kill people; and we'll see how well he does against the U.S.-led coalition.

England has over 20,000 suspected jihadis and 3,000 of which are in police radar.

Over 130 imams refuse to provide funeral services for dead jihadists

Love is all you need . . .  and weapons

Finally, Islamic leaders of the community refusing to say funeral prayers for the London Bridge terrorists. Over 130 imams made the "unprecedented" decision not to pray for the dead jihadists, in spite of the fact that it's usually done for the dead, regardless of their past murderous scumbaggery.

The imams and religious leaders are also urging others to join them in a prayer boycott, a decision made by Muslim community leaders who came out to support the effort to report extremism in their neighborhoods. 

Of course, this probably puts their lives in jeopardy because a substantially large number of Muslims support jihadist attacks and think of the London murderers as martyrs.

"We, as Muslim Imams and religious leaders, condemn the recent terror attacks in Manchester and London in the strongest terms possible," the Muslim leaders said in a statement [stolen from the Obama administration cheat sheet]. "Coming from a range of backgrounds, and from across the U.K.; feeling the pain the rest of the nation feels, we have come together to express our shock and utter disgust at these cold-blooded murders. We are deeply hurt that a spate of terror attacks have been committed in our country once more by murderers who seek to gain religious legitimacy for their actions. We seek to clarify that their reprehensible actions have neither legitimacy nor our sympathy."

This is a good thing. Finally, Islamic leaders are delegitimizing terror attacks. It's about time they refused to give this barbaric action respect.

U.S. Secretary of State Rex Tillerson applauded their decision and said he was encouraged by the imams. It means that the imams are condemning the souls of the murderers because the funeral prayer asks for forgiveness of the dead.

Mak Chishty, the Metropolitan police commander of engagement, said that it's time for Muslims to "counter the scourge of terrorism, extremism and hatred that we have in our communities at present."

Chishty is the highest-ranking Muslim officer in the Metropolitan police department. "It is the Islamic duty of every Muslim to be loyal to the country in which we live," he said. "We are now asking questions to understand how extremism and hatred has taken hold within some elements of our own communities."

Daesh (ISIS) claimed responsibility for the attack, but that's their default position.

There are 11 people in police custody on suspicion of violating the Terrorism Act. Others who were arrested have been released without being charged.

The Mayor of London Sadiq Khan, also a Muslim, condemned the attack and said it was "disgusting" and a perversion of Islam, which, in fact, it really isn't if you go by what the Islamic scripture says.

Something more needs to change . . . a lot more.

UPDATE on London Bridge/ Borough Market attack

Update: The London Bridge and Borough Market attack are definitely terrorist inspired, occurring late Saturday.

A van crashed into a crowd at London Bridge and a series of stabbing nearby were confirmed by Metropolitan Police.

One report is that someone was shot by police, lying on the ground "with what appears to be canisters attached to his body. This has not been confirmed. 

The attack began around 10:00 p.m. local time. Witnesses said that it did not look accidental. Gunfire erupted at the bridge, though it may have come from the police.

A woman witness at nearby Borough Market was at a restaurant and told Britain's Press Association that three men entered, then "stabbed someone in the face and someone in the stomach. One of them had a big knife, then he came in and walked around the restaurant, I guess they just kind of stabbed anyone that they saw and knocked things on the ground and then we just hid." 

Another Borough Market witness identified only as Ben, told the BBC, "We saw people running away and then I saw a man in red with a large blade, at a guess ten inches long, stabbing a man, about three times." He then added, "It looked like the man had been trying to intervene, but there wasn't much he could do. He was being stabbed quite coldly and he slumped to the ground."

Thus far, it isn't known the number of injuries. 

British media is calling the attack cowardly, but it was brutal and Islamic, not cowardly.

Prime Minister Theresa May and President Trump have been briefed and updated.

Another stabbing at Vauxhall was determined to be unrelated to this attack.

Theresa May will lead a meeting of the emergency response committee Sunday.

President Trump tweeted: "Whatever the United States can do to help out in London and the U.K., we will be there- WE ARE WITH YOU. GOD BLESS!"

The U.S. State Department told the media: "We stand ready to provide all possible consular assistance should we become aware of any affected U.S. citizens. We strongly encourage U.S. citizens in the United Kingdom to directly contact concerned family members in the United States to advise them of your safety."
