Gaza death toll is inflated anti-Israel propaganda: "Questionable counting"

The oxymoronically named Ministry of Health (MoH) is controlled by Hamas and established by them in 2007 once the terrorist organization took total control of the Gaza Strip. This came after myriad violent clashes with the Fatah faction of the Palestinian Authority (PA), and since then, Hamas has remained in power, supported by most so called Palestinians, and is the government of Gaza as is the MoH.

Knowing this, it's obvious that a conflict exists between the terrorist group and the MoH, so to believe the latter's claims, you'd have to be an idiot or an anti-Semite, but I repeat myself.

So a rigorous study published Saturday regarding Hamas authorities' death statistics in Gaza has found that the numbers were hugely inflated and methodologically flawed. The motive of Hamas is clear: they are using the MoH for propaganda to vilify Israel and make themselves out to be the "poor me" victims.

The report  was published by the London-based Henry Jackson Society security think tank. It breaks down the figure of approximately 44,000 deaths reported by MoH since the Oct. 7, 2023 massacre of Israelis by Hamas and others. Not surprisingly, the international media has failed to scrutinize the data because they would rather see Israel as the villain and Gazans as the victims, and blame Israel for genocide, when it's actually the other way around.

The scale of civilian deaths in Gaza is a key element in a legal and propaganda attempt by Israel’s enemies to isolate it internationally using false allegations of genocide.

The figure, which does not distinguish between civilians and the 17,000 terrorists Israel says it has killed in Gaza, also includes about 5,000 people who die of natural causes each year, states the report.

“This report raises serious concerns that the Gaza MoH figures have been overstated,” wrote defense analyst who also specializes in the Middle East and disinformation, writing for the Henry Jackson Society.

The report was reported on Saturday in mainstream media. It dealt with "questionable counting."

“The data behind their figures contains natural deaths, deaths from before this conflict began and deaths of those killed by Hamas itself; it contains no mention of Hamas combatant fatalities; and it overstates the number of women and children killed,” reads the report, titled “Questionable Counting: Analyzing the Death Toll from the Hamas-Run Ministry of Health in Gaza.”

Even cancer patients were listed as requiring treatment after they had already been listed as war causalities. For example,  Jihad Mahmoud Adeeb Al-Taweel, ID number 950130153, was described in an April 15 list as a patient with laryngeal cancer, two weeks after being listed as a war fatality.

This sounds similar to the days when people who died in car crashes and who had contracted Covid 19 prior to the crash were listed as Covid deaths.

The report highlighted several statistical inconsistencies in how data was collected, particularly from hospitals reporting to the health ministry.

A "dramatic change happened in reports from al-Aqsa hospital [in Deir al-Balah], where the claimed number of fatalities jumped from 4,994, as per the 31 March 2024 report, to 6,608 just a week later. At the same time, the number of children jumped from 1,294 to 2,142, meaning children were responsible for 52.5% of the sharp increase," the report said.

In an article dated December 10th discussing the latest death statistics from the Gaza health ministry, The Palestine Chronicle stated that "Palestinian and international organizations say that the majority of those killed and wounded are women and children"—a statistic often used by anti-Israel activists to argue that Israel is committing genocide.

But Fox's report found that “most fatalities are men aged 15–45, contradicting the lies that civilian populations are being disproportionately targeted.” Deaths reported by families, as opposed to how they are listed by the health ministry, “suggests that many fatalities classified as civilian may be combatants, a distinction omitted from official reporting,” the Fox report states.

On December 10, Hamas's Government Media Office claimed that nearly 44% of the 44,758 reported fatalities in the Gaza Strip were children. However, the report challenges this data, revealing instances where adults were misidentified as children. It also notes that the Government Media Office, which claims its data originates from the health ministry, frequently exaggerates the proportion of women and children in their statistics.

The health ministry's data has also been found to misclassify men as women. According to the Fox report, "In the August 2024 list, 103 names were marked as female who had a male first name (e.g. Mohammed)."

This report comes at a time when Israel faces accusations of genocide at the International Court of Justice and charges of crimes against humanity at the International Criminal Court, targeting Israeli officials including Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Both Israel and the United States, along with other nations, have vehemently denied and condemned these accusations.

Advocates for Israel argue that even with Hamas's questionable statistics, when coupled with Israeli estimates of terrorists killed in the Gaza Strip, the civilian death toll appears relatively low. Given the complexities of urban warfare in Gaza and Hamas's tactic of using human shields, Israel's supporters maintain that the numbers indicate a significant effort to minimize civilian casualties during IDF operations aimed at dismantling Hamas and rescuing Israeli hostages.

On October 7, 2023, Hamassholes along with civilian Gazans and other terrorist groups, invaded the Jewish State, murdered, raped, burned about 1,200 men, women and child Israelis, and kidnapped 250 others. Currently, there remains about 100 hostages still being held in Gaza, many of whom are likely dead. While Israel and Hamas are involved indirectly in negotiations for a ceasefire, the condition of the hostages remains a question. But Hamas is still preventing aid organizations from visiting the hostages and this bodes poorly for their condition.

In spite of what we know now about the lies of Hamas, the useful idiots on the left,  refuse to believe it.

Here's how propaganda works: only 1 in 4 UK Muslims know Hamas raped and murdered Israelis on Oct. 7

According to a survey, only 1 in 4 British Muslims know Hamas carried out rape and murder on October 7 of last year while 75% either don't believe it, or pretend it never happened.

This was the largest survey conducted of British Muslims since the war began and was commissioned by the Henry Jackson Society, a counter-extremist think-tank. The survey found that 46 percent, just slightly below half of British Muslims, are pro-Hamasshole.

The findings arrive on April 7, the six-month anniversary of Hamas' attack on Israeli civilians, when they invaded Israel and murdered some 1,200 Israelis and took around 253 hostages, about 130 of whom are still believed to be held by the terror group in Gaza. [I hold less hope for them but hope that I'm totally wrong.]

Asked whether Hamas committed murder and rape in Israel on October 7, only 24 per cent of British Muslims said they had, compared to 62 per cent of the wider public. So it appears that Muslims are getting their news from their mosques or the internet where propaganda is rampant.

The report found that younger and well-educated Muslims were the most likely to believe Hamas carried out no atrocities on October 7, with 47 per cent of 18–24-year-olds and 40 per cent of the university-educated.

The survey also found that over half of British Muslims, 52 per cent, want to make it illegal to show a picture of the Prophet Mohammed, and about a third, 32 per cent, wish to see Shariah law implemented in the UK. They say that "Pro Mo" looks a lot like a--wait--I'm afraid to say.

Fiyaz Mughal, founder of Muslims Against Antisemitism and the interfaith group Faith Matters, told the Sunday Telegraph that the findings are “shocking but also not shocking.”

I'm pretty Fiyaz has read the Koran and knows that it tells Muslims that Jews are akin to the devil and killing them is a mitzvah, if you don't mind me using a Jewish term for a good deed.

He said: “The sense that Hamas did not conduct massacres and rapes in Israel is atrocious because it shows a closed-off mentality of anything emanating from Israel.”

The survey, wass performed by polling company J L Partners. It also found that 46 per cent of British Muslims say Jews have too much power over UK government policy (compared to 16 per cent of the general public) while 41 per cent said Jews have too much power in the media and 39 per cent said Jews have too much power in the UK’s financial system.

So what do they think, that their jobs were just handed to them by some invisible source? They studied, they worked for it.

Mughal said the findings confirm that “a lot of work needs to be done to inform, challenge, and address old anti-Semitic tropes,” adding that a failure on the part of the government to invest in better guidance for teachers and education establishments risks “a social cohesion problem.”

Thirty-nine percent of British Muslims said Hamas did commit atrocities on October 7, with 37 percent saying they did not know whether they had or not.

Alan Mendoza, Executive Director of the Henry Jackson Society, said the findings was evidence of “the failure of counter-extremism policy over the years.”

He said there may be an “unwillingness to tackle this kind of extremism for fear of being labeled Islamophobic or racist, a neat trick invented by terrorists to shut us up.

“The government needs to find a way of supporting and strengthening the voice of moderate Muslims and drive the extremist narrative to the side-lines.”

I doubt that's going to happen anytime soon, unless the modern day Koran is modified to sound more like a religious book than a war manual.
