POTUS calls for "major investigation" of Kamala regarding "unlawful" celebrity endorsements

Donald Trump, never one to shy away from a megaphone, took to Truth Social Monday morning, hammering out a call for a “major investigation” into Kamala Harris.

The President is alleging that Harris shelled out cash to snag endorsements from big names like Bruce Springsteen and Beyoncé during her failed presidential run. Trump’s not just tossing pebbles here—he’s lobbing boulders, accusing Harris of straight-up illegal payoffs.

Here’s the man himself, in all-caps glory: “HOW MUCH DID KAMALA HARRIS PAY BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN FOR HIS POOR PERFORMANCE DURING HER CAMPAIGN FOR PRESIDENT? WHY DID HE ACCEPT THAT MONEY IF HE IS SUCH A FAN OF HERS? ISN’T THAT A MAJOR AND ILLEGAL CAMPAIGN CONTRIBUTION? WHAT ABOUT BEYONCÉ? …AND HOW MUCH WENT TO OPRAH, AND BONO??? I am going to call for a major investigation into this matter.”

And I doubt that he's kidding.

Trump doubled down, claiming Hahaharris broke the law by masking these payments as “entertainment” gigs. “Candidates aren’t allowed to pay for ENDORSEMENTS, which is what Kamala did, under the guise of paying for entertainment,” he wrote.

“In addition, this was a very expensive and desperate effort to artificially build up her sparse crowds. IT’S NOT LEGAL! For these unpatriotic ‘entertainers,’ this was just a CORRUPT & UNLAWFUL way to capitalize on a broken system. Thank you for your attention to this matter!!!”

You can almost hear the keyboard groaning under the weight of those exclamation points.

Now, let’s zoom in on Springsteen, who strummed his way into this mess at a Harris rally in Atlanta back in October.

The Boss has been using his stage time to take swings at Trump’s administration. At a recent gig in England, he let rip: “In my home, the America I love, the America I’ve written about, that has been a beacon of hope and liberty for 250 years, is currently in the hands of a corrupt, incompetent and treasonous administration. Tonight, we ask all who believe in democracy and the best of our American experiment to rise with us, raise your voices against authoritarianism and let freedom ring!”

Sounds like Bruce isn’t just singing about the Promised Land—he’s preaching against Trump’s and he has no receipts to support his blather. I mean, where's the treason?

But here’s where it gets sticky. The Harris campaign’s been under the microscope before for funneling hefty sums to celebrity production companies. The Washington Free Beacon dug up some dirt last month, reporting that Harris’s team dropped $50,000 on LeBron James’s production company for “campaign event production.” LeBron didn’t show up to any rallies, mind you, but he did post a video endorsing Harris and tossing a racism jab at Trump.

Then there’s Beyoncé’s production company, which pocketed $165,000, and Oprah’s, which raked in a cool $100,000,000. Beyoncé gave a quick speech at a Houston event, while Oprah sat down with Harris for a Chicago interview. Trump is betting that it isn't a coincidence.

So, what’s the deal? Is this just Trump stirring the pot, or did Harris’s campaign play fast and loose with the rulebook? The truth’s probably somewhere in the gray, but one thing’s clear: when you’ve got this much star power and cash changing hands, people are going to talk.

And Donald Trump has the loudest mic.

"The Boss" aka Jeep Celebrity Spokesman, busted for DWI

Singer Bruce Springsteen was caught and arrested for Driving While Intoxicated in New Jersey last year, after reports bubbled up just days after he appeared in a weird Super Bowl commercial for Jeep.

Law enforcement arrested "The Boss" as he is often called, and he is to appear in court in a few weeks. The incident occurred on November 14th at Gateway National Recreation Area in Sandy Hook, NJ.

The charges were for DWI, reckless driving, and consuming alcohol in a closed area, as reported by TMZ. The incident was also confirmed to The New York Post by the National Parks Service.

Springsteen is a harsh critic of former President Trump and while he called for unity in the Jeep commercial, he was only pulling our collective leg as he incessantly attacked Trump and 75 million Trump voters prior to the advert.

In the run-up to the presidential election of 2020, Springsteen publicly swore to leave the US if Trump was reelected. But like the myriad celebrities who came before him in the 2016 election who made the same pledge, it's highly doubtful he would have actually kept his promise.

I generally like Springsteen's music, but other than that, he's a scumcrumpet.

Why I refused to sing at the inauguration

I'm not going to sing at the President-elect's inaugural concert tonight. I refuse to sing at that inconsiderate man's party. If he was a decent guy, he would have asked me to sing there, but he didn't and he isn't going to ask.

A lot of other, much more famous performers, were also not asked by Mr. Trump and they also refuse to sing at the concert. They should have been asked, so he can forget it--they, like me, aren't going within a mile of that celebration.

I just wish he asked so I could have said 'no' but he's so inconsiderate of my feelings.

I know my voice isn't as good as, say, Bruce Springsteen, or even Ricky Gervais, but I can carry a tune most of the time.

And I play the spoons.

If Donald J. Trump asked me to sing, I would have given him the treat of hearing my voice and the patter of my spoons. But he didn't and I won't--his loss.

So I take back my offer.

Sad!

Tom Hanks on America and the election

Donald Trump is our next president, that's a fact. People on both sides of the aisle are worried that the world is coming to an end and planet Earth will be "fired" from existence.

Tom Hanks doesn't believe we're all going to die.

Hanks was being honored at the Museum of Modern Art's film department Tuesday evening. Instead of making a standard "I'm honored, thank you" speech, he used his time to discuss the negativity of many in the entertainment industry about how they feel over this election that made Donald Trump our President-elect.

Although Hanks never used Trump's name, only idiots like the women of "The View" wouldn't make the connection.

He made reference to "Schoolhouse Rock" and Bruce Springsteen, and he emphasized the wisdom and sanctity of the U.S. Constitution, no matter what:
"We are going to be all right. America has been in worse places than we are at right now. In my own lifetime our streets were in chaos, our generations were fighting each other tooth and nail, and every dinner table ended up being as close to a fist fight as human families will allow.
"We have been in a place where we have looked at our leaders and wondered what the hell they were thinking of. We've had moments with the administrations and politicians and senators and governors in which we have we've asked ourselves 'Are they lying to us or do they really believe in this?' That's all right.
"We have this magnificent thing that is in place. It's a magnificent document and it starts off with these phrases that if you're smart enought you've memorized in school or you just read enough so that you know it by heart, or you watched those little things on ABC where they taught you little songs in order to sing, and the songs goes [singing]: 'We the people/in order to form a more perfect union/established to ensure domestic tranquility/to provide for the common defense/promote the general welfare,' and you go on and on. That document is going to protect us over and over again whether or not our neighbors preserve, protect, and defend it themselves.
"We are going to be all right because we constantly get to tell the world who we are. We constantly get to define ourselves as Americans. We do have the greatest country in the world. We move at a slow pace. We have the greatest country in the world because we are always moving towards a more perfect union.
"That journey never ceases, it never stops. Sometimes, to quote a Bruce Springsteen song, it's one step forward two steps back, but we still aggregately move forward. We who are a week into wondering what the hell just happened will continue to move forward. We have to choose to do so, but we will move forward because if we do no move forward, what is to be said of us?
"We will take everything that has been handed to us as Americans and we will turn our nation and we will turn the future and we will turn all the work that we have done before us into some grand thing of beauty."
Naturally, Tom Hanks received a standing ovation.
