Ex-NYC Mayor Bill deBlasio's wife has to explain where all the money went

In a shocking discovery, a report revealed that Chirlane McCray, estranged wife of former New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio, managed nearly $900 million in taxpayer money without keeping track of how it was spent. This money was mainly used for her "ThriveNYC" initiative, aimed at tackling mental health and homelessness issues in the city. However, investigations showed that there was little transparency, with many expenses not documented and inadequate supervision over the use of funds.

This was brought to light during a city council meeting where it was criticized that the program was slow to act. Here’s what was said:

"During the meeting, it was discovered that the disgustingly large amount of money spent on the Thrive program produced no actual benefits."

The program was initially budgeted at $250 million each year, but it has not significantly impacted the community. According to Politico, out of an estimated 12-15,000 mothers suffering from postpartum depression in New York City annually, only 570 received help. Out of 78,000 newborn deliveries each year, just 28,560 new moms were screened, and only 570 women diagnosed with the condition were assisted by the program.

McCray reportedly didn't keep any records of how the $900 million was spent. Despite this, Thrive director Susan Herman stated that the program's costs would now escalate to $1 billion every four years.

Queens Councilman Robert Holden expressed his frustration to the New York Post:

“The situation is not improving. It’s actually getting worse.”

DeBlasio and McCray are not divorced but are separated.

Comrade Bill de Blasio fined $155K for using NYPD as his personal security outside NYC

Former failed presidential candidate and Mayor of New York City, comrade Bill de Blasio [aka Warren Wilhelm, Jr.] was gob-smacked with the largest fine ever imposed for using New York Police Department officers as his person body guards during his 30 seconds as a presidential candidate. So far, de Blasio's biggest accomplishments were making city crime a full-contact sport, and for being tall.

The fine amounted to $155,000 and he was also ordered to reimburse the city $320,000 for violating the City Charter when he took his NYPD security detail on trips "all over the place," as one former President likes to say.

"When a public servant uses City resources for private purposes, it erodes the public's trust and makes City government less efficient," the board ruled, as they pretended the public trust was eroded only after this clod misused city funds. Let us not forget that his own wife sort of lost hundreds of thousands of dollars on a city project that never took place.

The big commie was even told by the board when he announced his narcissistic run for POTUS  that "[I]t would be a misuse of City resources" to pay the hotel, travel and overtime costs for his NYPD security detail to travel with him on the campaign outside their jurisdiction. But as he had shown in the past when Covid was being released on New Yorkers by then-Governor Andrew Cuomo (D), the rules didn't apply to him. Recall that de Blasio and his wife disregarded his advice to stay at home and went galavanting to a gym in Brooklyn.

So he gave the board's ruling his trademark symbolic middle finger and took his detail on 31 out-of-state trips between May 2019 and September 2019, when he got the support of his wife and a few members of the Communist Party and ended up dropping out of the race. For him, the race's starting gun never even went off.

The fine followed a report by the Department of Investigation that criticized the former mayor's use of his security detail even when he was in New York City. The report said de Blasio used his protection detail as hired help for errands, picking up coffee and food, and carting his family and friends around like Uber drivers because he thinks he's an entitled person.

"It's not security. It's essentially concierge service," former Department of Investigation Commissioner Margaret Garnet said in October 2021.

De Blasio was outraged by the ruling and his lawyers are fighting the board's ruling.

But if he ends up having to pay the money, he can always look for it wherever his wife may have hidden it from the public's view.

"Good News Budget Cuts" for Jihadists

His finger tells it all
When Islamic terrorists attack America, liberals attack America's ability to protect themselves.

In the infinite wisdom of the left, fully $90 million is going to be cut from the anti-terrorism budget of New York City as part of the $270 million cut from the Urban Area Security budget to fund systems to protect us from jihadist attacks.

Even leftists like New York City mayor Bill DeBlasio and Senator Chuck Schumer think it's a bad idea.

Gee, what was their first clue? September 11, 2001? San Bernadino? The slashing attacks at the Nazareth Restaurant in Columbus, Ohio? Fort Hood? The Boston Marathon bombing? And the etceteras go on and on.

But liberals who can be directly effected (read: "killed") by an Islamic terrorist attack are at odds with our Muslim-sympathetic president.

DeBlasio plans to personally beg Obama to reconsider the cuts.

"I'm certainly going to let the president know that we care deeply in New York and we need this money to be restored," the anti-cop mayor said at a One Police Plaza press conference. "The common sense thing to do here is to recognize that we are the number one terror target and we need this support."

You may remember him singing a different tune when it was about Black Lives Matter and how he worries about his son, who is black, being killed by a police officer.

But that was then, this is now. ISIS is making him aware of how the police and first responders are the heroes, not the villains.

Chuck "Nostrils" Schumer, uncle of failed comedienne Amy Schumer, pointed out that the Obama administration has no acceptable reason for the cuts.

Referring to Obama's terror efforts, Chuck said that "They've been very good, but not here. Not here. This is a huge mistake, and I am here to pledge to the mayor and even more importantly to our men and women who are in the police, fire and other departments, and to the citizens of New York, these cuts will not stand."

Schumer was joined by NYPD Commissioner Bill Bratton, Fire Commissioner Dan Nigro, and Emergency Management Commissioner Joe Esposito. They all agree that Obama's cuts will make New Yorkers less safe at a time when IS inspired attacks are happening as often as cow flatulence.

"It seems to me that it's indefensible for the federal government at this time to be  proposing not only cuts but extraordinary cuts in monies allocated for homeland security, home town security," Bratton said. "A $90 million cut is unconscionable."

Last year's budget was $180 million and this is to be cut in half.

But is it really surprising to see a president whose kneejerk reaction to Islamic violence to call for stricter gun laws?

Dan Nigro spoke from a more emotional position. "Fifteen years ago, just a few mimutes away from where we are right now, more than 400 first responders died defending our country. The loss of this funding would be quite crippling to all first responders, to all New Yorkers and to all Americans. It's not just important. It's a necessity."

The president is unlikely to change his mind. He tends to react in counterpoint to American logic.

The operant word here is "American."
