Sen. Charles "Nostrils" Schumer (D-NY) released a statement after President Trump formally announced his nomination of Judge Amy Coney Barrett to the Supreme Court on Saturday.
Schumer whined that a "far-right majority" on SCOTUS could "turn back the clock on women's rights and a woman's right to choose, workers' rights, voting rights, civil rights, LGBTQ rights, environmental protections, and more."
By "more" Schumer may have been referring to the left's rights to take away our guns, the right to riot, loot and act violently in the name of protest, the right to not have to post bail after being arrested, the right to force religious institutions to pay for the killing of unborn babies right up to the moment of birth, and the right to censor free speech by conservatives.
“A vote for Judge Amy Coney Barrett is a vote to eliminate health care for millions in the middle of a pandemic,” Schumer lied, shortly after President Trump issued the formal nomination:
A vote for Judge Amy Coney Barrett is a vote to eliminate health care for millions in the middle of a pandemic.
“The American people should make no mistake—a vote by any Senator for Judge Amy Coney Barrett is a vote to strike down the Affordable Care Act and eliminate protections for millions of Americans with pre-existing conditions,” he said, proclaiming that Trump has “once again put Americans’ healthcare in the crosshairs.”
According to Schumer, a “far-right” majority on the court could also “turn back the clock” on a long list of rights, including “women’s rights and a woman’s right to choose, workers’ rights, voting rights, civil rights, LGBTQ rights, environmental protections, and more.”
Does anyone with a functioning cortex actually believe that nonsense?
Even if Roe v Wade was overturned, each state would still have the right to provide a woman's right to chose whether their unborn baby lives or can be killed.
Schumer went on with the latest leftist silliness:
“Justice Ginsburg’s dying wish was that she not be replaced until a new president is installed. Republicans are poised to not only ignore her wishes, but to replace her with someone who could tear down everything that she built.”
He called it a “reprehensible power grab” and “cynical attack on the legitimacy of the Court.”
Except the left also wanted to stuff the SCOTUS with leftist Justices, which is something Ginsburg openly opposed [Google it].
Schumer promised to “strongly oppose” Barrett’s nomination with every fiber of his nostrils.
On Saturday, in the event that she is confirmed by the Senate, Barrett promised that she will “discharge the judicial oath, which requires me to administer justice without respect to persons, do equal right to the poor and rich, and faithfully and impartially discharge my duties under the United States Constitution.”
Democrats hate that last part.

CNN’s Don Lemon suggests Trump was ‘hopped up’ on performance-enhancing drugs during debate
CNN’s Don Lemon suggested that President Trump appeared to be “hopped up” on a performance-enhancing drug during Tuesday night’s presidential debate.
“I felt like I was watching a kid whose doctor had prescribed him too much Adderall,” Lemon said as he made a comically exaggerated sniffing sound for added effect.
CNN’s Don Lemon suggested that President Trump appeared to be “hopped up” on a performance-enhancing drug.
Adderall is a medication commonly used to treat attention deficit hyperactivity disorder and is considered a stimulant. “It can help increase your ability to pay attention, stay focused on an activity, and control behavior problems. It may also help you to organize your tasks and improve listening skills,” according to WebMD.
Lemon and Cuomo, who took over CNN’s debate night coverage at 1 a.m. ET, spent much of their program attacking the president for his actions during the debate. Lemon’s comments about Adderall and being “hopped up” came after Trump repeatedly suggested Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden should have to take a drug test before the event.
In a tweet on Sunday, Trump questioned Biden's previous debate performances and claimed there was a disturbingly erratic pattern in the former vice president's performance. He added that he would be willing to take a drug test as well.
"I will be strongly demanding a Drug Test of Sleepy Joe Biden prior to, or after, the Debate on Tuesday night," Trump wrote. "Naturally, I will agree to take one also. His Debate performances have been record setting UNEVEN, to put it mildly. Only drugs could have caused this discrepancy???"
Biden's deputy campaign manager Kate Bedingfield responded to Trump's comments, disparaging the president and accusing him of trying to deflect from the coronavirus pandemic.
“Vice President Biden intends to deliver his debate answers in words. If the president thinks his best case is made in urine he can have at it," she wrote. "We’d expect nothing less from Donald Trump, who pissed away the chance to protect the lives of 200K Americans when he didn't make a plan to stop COVID-19.”
On Monday, Trump tweeted: "Joe Biden just announced that he will not agree to a Drug Test. Gee, I wonder why?"

Senator John McCain told the media that he cannot support the Graham-Cassidy proposal to repeal and replace Obamacare--a main issue he ran on for his reelection to the Senate. The reason for McCain's turnaround on his promise is simple: he's a lying RINO in bed with the Democrats and hates President Trump to the point where his hatred takes precedence over his integrity. CNBC reported:
Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) on Friday said he "cannot in good conscience vote for the Graham Cassidy proposal.
McCain is one of four Republican senators who have been undecided on the GOP healthcare overhaul, and his opposition dealt the bill's chances a significant blow.
Also on Friday, Sen. Susan Collins (R-Maine) said she is leaning toward voting NO on Graham Cassidy. Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul has already expressed his opposition to the bill, which he said didn't fully repeal the Affordable Care Act.
If all three of these votes are nay votes, the bill would not pass. Republicans have until Sept. 30 to pass a health care bill with only 50 votes. After that, they will need 60 votes, a nearly impossible threshold to meet.
So it's obvious that hating a Trump success, at least in McCain's case, outweighs a campaign promise.
And they wonder why the approval rate of congress is in the toilet.
It used to be "if you like your doctor, you can keep your doctor, yadda yadda." Now it's everyone getting covered under this law, including the law-breakers. Yes, Obamacare is now being extended to cover prison inmates by the states. They will cover prisoner's costs by using a provision allowing states to shift the cost to the federal government. Neat trick--robbing us to pay them. Of course, this includes mental health programs--and that's a good thing for prisoners because there is an inordinately high incidence of mental illness among this population like there is with the Democratic party.
The biggest insult to our freedom and democracy is the Affordable Care Act, aka Obamacare. In order to get it past the American people and pass it, we've been lied to by our president, lied to by Kathleen Sebelius, and liked to by Harry Reid and the rest of the Democrats. When people are lied to, the implication is that they will believe the lie that they're told, that they're uninformed, ignorant, or simply too stupid to know the truth.
Liberals believe(d) the lies: If you like your doctor you can keep your doctor; if you like your healthcare plan, you can keep your healthcare plan; your premiums will go down on an average of $2500 per year; the website is working. And so on. It is unimaginable to think that a company would spend over $600 million on a website that did not work. And after the failure, the money spent was not returned--it's gone, lost. But no big deal--it was our tax money, not theirs. It's amazing to think that a manager who appears to have almost no knowledge of how the program is unfolding, and has failed so miserably to manage, to get the systems in place and make it viable, would not be immediately terminated, but that only happens in the private sector. Worst of all, it's a travesty of how we view freedom and justice, that Obamacare was forced on us in the first place. I do not care that the Supreme Court deemed it Constitutional; it isn't. Obama claimed that it was not a tax, but that was the only way it was able to pass scrutiny. Were we lied to? "If I don't balance the budget in three years, I will not be president." "If you like your doctor, you can keep your doctor . . . " and yadda yadda. Tweet
You can't swing a Democratic donkey by the tail without hitting an ObamaCare problem. The problems effect the public as well as the king. Now the king wants the people to come up with our ideas to help him with ObamaCare. Does he want our input so he can blame us for its failure like he blames the Republicans for magically screwing up the website? If the GOP actually had the powers needed to remotely screw up the ObamaCare website, Obama would have never been elected in the first place. So what are some of the problems with ObamaCare? First and foremost, Obama lied. I don't care how the New York Times tries to spin it with: "he misspoke," "he told an untruth," "he was factually incorrect," "he didn't mean it that way," he deliberately lied to the American public because he knew that many many people would not be able to keep their doctors, period, nor would they be able to keep their healthcare plans, period. He freaking lied. People do not trust him. That's not good for the Democrats. Second, the number of insurance company options available are anemic. There are so few choices and you can't even shop for choices until you've actually given your personal information and have signed up. Third, speaking about giving your personal information is extremely risky, according to the four "white hat hackers" who testified to congress about this issue. Not one of them when asked, said he would be willing to put his personal information online at Healthcare.gov. Why should we?
Fourth, ObamaCare is acting almost like a shill for Medicaid. Millions of people are being enrolled from the site. One man, a retired owner of a $5 million home, was told that in order to enroll, he would have to do so with Medicaid as his provider. If you know anything about Medicaid, the quality of care is horrible. Fifth, ObamaCare has negative incentive for upward mobility. If you get a raise, you pay more. If you get married, you pay more. If you are a small business owner and want to expand, there's a disincentive to hire more than 29 people. Sixth, ObamaCare favors the secular sector and disrespects the beliefs of the religious sector. This has fast become a trend in America and it's a disgraceful trend. The group Freedom from Religion is the biggest perpetrator of attacking religious values, and Obama seems to be a big fan. One can only wonder what the outcome would be if Islam was staunchly against birth control and abortion, and that included shops that sold Islamic items. I suspect the secular left would do as much to ensure that they would be forced to provide employees of, say, an Islamic book store with Sandra Fluke condoms, as they are willing to stop a stoning of women. Finally, business owners will tend to hire people part time in order to avoid having to pay for healthcare. It would be poor business sense to do otherwise. It's obvious that when a website is put together in the private sector, like the ObamaCare website was, heads would roll like a bowling alley on Saturday night. But more than this, there is more to ObamaCare than just the website that sucks. What should be obvious is that a government that has over 3 years and more than $600 million to put a website together puts out what we have seen, you can be certain that the rest of the planning will be similarly suck-worthy. President Obama has gone on the offense today, (which means he's offensive, as usual), but now he pledges this law will not be abolished while he still is president. I say "let it burn." Let people sign up; let it go into effect; and let people judge whatever it turns out to be. I suspect it will turn out to be exactly what the Obama administration supports: an abortion.
My latest novel,Jihad
Joe,is about Islamic
terrorism and suspense. In it I challenge the precepts of the religion
through my protagonist, Zed Nill, a journalist, captured by terrorists and who
is destined to be killed if the American President refuses to release three
Gitmo prisoners. Of course, American policy demands we never give in to
terrorists, and for Zed, the clock is ticking.
