Behold, the sheer, unadulterated tragedy of former President Barack Obama discovering that the federal government can be used for political targeting. One can only imagine the sheer emotional toll it takes to clutch one's pearls this hard.
Former divisive President Barack Obama is lashing out against President Donald Trump for the decision to criminally investigate Democrat Rep. Ilhan Omar over her immigration status.
"It is a basic principle of American democracy that the government can’t selectively target individuals simply because of their political beliefs or what they say," Obama wailed into the digital ether, completely forgetting that his own administration treated political weaponization like an intramural sport.
After all, why dwell on minor historical footnotes like the IRS aggressively auditing conservative non-profits, or the totally organic creation of the Russia collusion hoax and the Steele Dossier? Those were just whimsical little pranks, unlike today's horrors.
