Here is the latest news about Neria Leiter's condition after being wounded: 

As of Sunday, September 27, Neria Leiter’s life remains in danger, though his father reported some encouraging signs.

Neria Leiter, 38, an IDF reservist and son of Israel’s ambassador to the United States Yechiel Leiter, was critically wounded in a Palestinian car-ramming attack at a checkpoint on Route 443 on Wednesday, September 23. He suffered a severe head injury, arrived at Shaare Zedek Medical Center in Jerusalem unconscious, and underwent hours of emergency brain surgery overnight.

By Thursday, September 24, doctors said his condition had stabilized but remained serious and life-threatening, primarily due to the brain injury. He was in intensive care.

In an update today, Ambassador Leiter said Neria’s life is “still hanging in the balance” / “still in danger,” but “we have seen some encouraging signs and we are holding onto them with hope.” He thanked people for their prayers and asked that they continue.

The family has requested prayers for Neria Dov ben Chana. There have been no public reports of a major change that would take him out of critical or life-threatening status.
