Families of Oct. 7 victims sue Muslim-American billionaire

Secret lovers--gone to pasture

On Monday, the anguished families of American victims slaughtered in the barbaric Hamas massacre of October 7 turned to a U.S. federal court in New York, their voices rising in a chorus of righteous fury.

They have leveled a devastating accusation against Palestinian-American billionaire Bashar Masri, a man they charge with knowingly pouring his wealth into the terror-soaked machinery of Hamas in Gaza. The lawsuit alleges that Masri didn’t merely fund the killers—he provided the very electricity that hummed through the subterranean labyrinth of tunnels, a network of concrete veins that cradled hostages in the dark grip of the deadliest assault Israel has ever endured.

Among those standing in the dock of grief is Yizhar Shai, once Israel’s Science and Technology Minister, now a grieving father. His son, Sergeant Yaron Uri Shai, was cut down on that black day—October 7—a name now etched in blood and memory.

And who is this Bashar Masri terrorist supporter?

A man of shadows and secrets, the former overlord of the Karni Industrial Zone, whispered to be the de facto éminence grise to the Trump administration.

Masri looms as the unseen puppeteer behind Adam Boehler, the U.S. envoy for hostage affairs, whose name erupted in scandal when it emerged he’d been trading words with senior Hamas butchers. Masri, it seems, is no mere financier—he is the quiet architect of a terror that thrives in the dark, a figure whose hands, though gloved in wealth, are stained with the guilt of complicity.

“The lawsuit describes a complex web of connections, projects and economic developments – some of which were financed by international bodies such as the World Bank, the European Union and USAID, as well as American taxpayer money and which, according to the indictment, were also used for terrorist purposes.”

Obviously, no amount of money will assuage the pain these families have experienced, but it would be a powerful statement to Hamas supporters that they will pay for their bloodlust.

"I pour my heart into these posts, and if they’ve sparked something for you, I’d be thrilled if you’d treat me to a coffee over at Buy Me a Coffee – totally optional, of course!"
