Houthis and their blowfish threaten to renew attacks on Israel if Gaza ceasefire ends

Using any excuse they could find, the Houthis and the blowfish are figuratively grabbing their collective crotch, rolling their collective shoulders, and threatening to attack Israel again if the hostages aren't returned. It isn't as if they want the hostages Hamas is holding to be returned, it's just that what will break the truce is the failure to free them, and give the Houthis the excuse to attack. And it isn't even that they need an excuse, but it's good press.

This is important because it shows how Hamas and Gaza are still connected to parts of Iran's ally network. When the attack happened on October 7, many groups supported by Iran tried to help Hamas by attacking Israel. This included actions by Hezbollah, the Houthis, and Iranian-sponsored groups in Iraq.

What's happening now is that some of these groups seem less strong and are not as involved with Gaza anymore. Hezbollah is one of them. However, the Houthis are still going strong. They haven't been stopped even after several Israeli air attacks.

Iranian state media reported on February 12 that "Yemen's Ansarullah movement leader Abdul Malik al-Houthi has warned that Yemeni fighters are ready to 'attack Israel' if the occupying regime resumes its military offensive in Gaza in violation of a ceasefire agreement."

This is one of the most recent warnings from the group. The Houthis had been pretty quiet for a while as the ceasefire was holding. It almost looked like they were not going to be a big issue anymore. But they don't want to be ignored. They're trying to get back into the spotlight.

In a TV speech on Tuesday, al-Houthi said, "Our fingers are on the trigger, and we are ready to respond immediately if the Zionist regime intensifies its attacks on Gaza," the Houthi leader warned. He also spoke about the "security, military, and economic consequences of a potential escalation of conflict, regardless of US support for the regime," according to the Iranian state media IRNA.

The Houthis claim that if Israel invades Gaza again, they'll respond from Yemen. They're also speaking out against US President Donald Trump. The Houthi leader suggests that the Israelis and US want to "seize Islamic holy places; not only Al-Aqsa Mosque, but Mecca and Medina" and this is "also part of this US-Zionist project."

Al-Houthi also "cautioned Arab leaders who might be willing to cooperate with the United States in executing this plan that Americans would not hesitate to abandon them when their interests dictate."

This is significant because the Houthis seem to be threatening Saudi Arabia, the US, and other countries with their increasing aggressive talk.
