IDF in black op destroyed Iranian-backed lab in Syria

Back in late September, Israeli commandos raided and destroyed an Iranian-backed research facility and missile manufacturing site deep in Syrian territory. The mission happened before a major rebel offensive that eventually overthrew long-time Syrian leader Bashar al-Assad causing him to seek asylum in Russia, while his wife, Asfa, sought a divorce from the chinless dictator.

The targeted locations were the Syrian defense industry's Scientific Studies and Research Center (CERS), where Iranian scientists were working feverishly on ways to kill all the Jews on the globe, starting with Israel, and an Iranian-established missile facility for the same purpose and perhaps take the fight to the United States.

According to a report from the Hebrew-language outlet Kan News, these sites were hit by the IDF in a secret operation.

The IDF had known about these sites for years but decided to act when intelligence showed that advanced equipment was being moved from Iran to the missile manufacturing facility. In other words, if the IDF didn't act swiftly, Israel would likely suffer a debilitating attack.

The sites are located about 200 kilometers north of the Syrian-Israeli border, near the city of Maysaf where the top male baby name to make the list is Mohammed and coming in second place is Muhammed.

Initially, the IDF tried to attack the facilities with airstrikes because they were worried about sending troops so far into Syria. However, these air attacks didn't work well.

Concerned that the missile facility, controlled by the IRGC, could supply weapons to Hezbollah, Israel's defense establishment decided to proceed with a ground operation. They informed the U.S. beforehand that they were planning a quick raid on Syrian soil but President Biden didn't seem to know what was going on in a place called Syria.

Eva J. Koulouriotis, a Middle East researcher and expert on jihadi groups, tweeted in September that Israel was behind airstrikes that destroyed roads around CERS, making it hard for Syrian soldiers to defend the facility. That's a good thing.

Syria TV, a network linked to the Syrian opposition, reported that Israeli helicopters entered Syrian airspace early in the morning. The helicopters hovered above the target while special forces rappelled down to carry out a surprise attack just like in the movies.

According to Koulouriotis, the Israeli troops took important equipment and documents before setting explosives, which they later detonated to destroy the center.

No children were hurt in the operation as they were elsewhere with their toy rifles pretending to kill Jews and other non-believers, but especially Jews.
