Hamas rejected hostage deal: Sinwar uninterested, says Mossad

Yahya Sinwar
Hamas "continues to exploit tensions with Iran and seeks . . . escalation in the region," the Israeli Prime Minister's Office (PMO) stated. [H/T Jerusalem Post Staff.] According to the Mossad, Hamas has again rejected the hostage deal outline, they revealed on Sunday morning.

Their refusal to deal with the Israelis may be due to the situation with the hostages--it's possible, if not probable, that most or all of them are dead.

This latest update comes over a week after the meeting of the relevant parties in Cairo.

"The rejection of the proposal by the three mediators, which included significant flexibility on Israel's part, proves that [Hamas leader Yahya] Sinwar is not interested in a humanitarian deal and in the return of the hostages," the PMO stated.

While the majority of experts know that Sinwar is an irrational psychopath, others consider him to be a rational psychopath who ultimately makes rational decisions.

"Israel will continue to forcefully pursue the fulfillment of the goals of the war against Hamas and will turn every stone to return the 133 hostages from Gaza as soon as possible," the statement concluded.
