Body of Hamas hostage recovered by IDF

Hamas attacked, murdered, burned, beheaded, raped and mutilated Israeli civilians on October 7. By October 8, the attack somehow became Israel's fault. Over 1,200 Israelis were slaughtered and kidnapped over 250 others while Hamas and so-called Palestinians who voted for Hamas in 2005, tried to justify their barbarism.

There are other terrorist organizations that call for the death of the Jews, the complete annihilation of Israel, and eventually all Jews worldwide. One of those organizations, Palestinian Islamic Jihad, also took hostages on October 7 and like Hamas, brutally treated those kidnapped victims.

Last Saturday, the IDF, in a night raid, recovered the body of a hostage the PIJ kidnapped on that day. The body of Elad Katzir was found in a what the IDF described as a Hamas command tunnel running under UNRWA headquarters in the Gaza Strip.

“The body of hostage Elad Katzir was rescued by security forces overnight from Khan Yunis and returned to Israeli territory,” the IDF said in a post on X.

“Elad Katzir was abducted from Kibbutz Nir Oz by the Islamic Jihad terrorist organization during the October 7 Massacre,” the post added. “His mother, Hanna, was also abducted by IJ and released on November 24, and his father, Avraham, was murdered in the kibbutz. According to intelligence, Elad was murdered by IJ in captivity.”

Anyone who tries to justify Mr. Katzir's murder, or any of the horrific actions taken by Hamas and PIJ along with many civilian Palestinians who helped them, is nothing more than an anti-Semitic racist.

About 130 hostages remain in Gaza but their conditions are unknown. It seems probable to this writer that there are likely more who have been murdered because the hatred by the terrorists is palpable.

“Our mission since the beginning of the war has been, and remains, to locate and bring the hostages home,” the IDF post said. “We will continue to operate until it is complete.”
