Hamas and Islamic Jihad rockets fall in Gaza about 20 percent of the time killing civilians: IDF

When you build rockets out of plumbing pipes and solder, they will not always go where you aimed them. Sometimes when Hamas and Islamic Jihad fires their DIY rockets, they hit Gaza schools--it really happens more often than you might think. In fact, an Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) official says it happens about 20 percent of the time.

A stream of rockets fired by Hamas and Islamic Jihad along with Iran-backed terrorists have caused the deaths of Palestinians since the sneak attack on Israeli civilians began October 7th.

"They are killing their own people," IDF spokesman Daniel Hagari said Saturday, noting that one-fifth have missed Israeli targets (men, women, children, babies) and landed in Gaza instead, killing civilians. Hagari said that number is more than 550 rockets.

Biden referred to Israel and Hamas as "teams" so I will call the terrorist groups "the gangs that couldn't shoot straight."

Hagari spoke about four days after the al-Ahli Hospital parking lot in Gaza City was struck by an errant rocket. In less than an hour, Hamas claimed 500 Gazans were killed by the Israeli rocket, but an investigation using video, audio and radar proved the rocket came from Islamic Jihad. And the fact that Hamas came up with the death toll so quickly should have alerted the media that the Hamas claim was BS, but BSMSNBC, BSCNN, and BS NY Times went along with the terrorists' propaganda.

See, even Hamas uses the idea of "never let a tragedy go to waste" to their advantage, and with the fake news press, it worked out great for them.

Online video showed clearly that it was the parking lot, not the hospital that was struck by a rocket on Tuesday. There were some burned out cars that caught fire and ignited neighboring vehicles, but the hospital remained untouched. There was no deep bomb crater and no bodies for Hamas to put on display, which should have alerted the media about the veracity of their claim, but they still went along with Hamas and riots predictably broke out all around the globe.

Do you think for one second that if Israel really killed 500 Gazans that Hamas would not have lined up the bodies for the cameras?

Israel investigated and finally said the rocket was fired by Palestinian Islamic Jihad, a State Department-designated foreign terrorist organization backed by Iran.

"An analysis of IDF operational systems indicates that a barrage of rockets was fired by terrorists in Gaza, passing in close proximity to the al-Ahli [Baptist] Hospital in Gaza at the time it was hit," IDF officials said. "Intelligence from multiple sources we have in our hands indicates that Islamic Jihad is responsible for the failed rocket launch which hit the hospital in Gaza."

Research analyst for the Foundation for Defense of Democracies' Long War Journal, Joseph Truzman, said the string of misfires by the terror group is a result of "Hamas and other groups like Islamic Jihad" having to "make do with the material they have."

"Iran is the chief supporter of several Palestinian armed groups, including other bad actors across the region," Truzman told Fox News Digital. "The regime in Iran funds, arms and supports its network of proxies and clients. The caveat with Palestinian groups in Gaza and the West Bank is that Iran is not able to transfer advanced weapons without the Israelis thwarting it. Iran has likely been able to get some weapons through, but it's a difficult task.

"Because of this hurdle, the Iranians focus on arming Hamas, Islamic Jihad and other Palestinian terrorist organizations with the know-how to build weapons," he explained. "With this knowledge, Hamas is able to locally produce rockets, mortars, drones and other weapons. While this knowledge has its advantages in the war against Israel, Hamas and other groups like Islamic Jihad have to make do with the materiel they have."

It was so obvious who fired the rockets after the evidence was in, that even President Biden agreed with Israel's statement. But in spite of that, he still refuses to enforce oil sanctions on Iran, and still seems to plan to fund Hamas and other terrorist groups in the region.

A chart released by the IDF last week showed an increasing number of Hamas and Islamic Jihad rockets failed upon launch and crashed in the Gaza Strip. Nearly 13% of the rockets that were fired toward Israel Oct. 17 landed in the densely populated enclave.

Describing some methods terrorists have used in an effort to achieve their mission, Truzman noted that "Hamas has dug up underground water pipes that were left behind following the evacuation of Israeli settlements in the Gaza Strip."

"These pipes are used to build rockets. And while it may be a clever method to build up Hamas' arsenal, it doesn't mean the rockets are effective and will always travel to the intended target," he added. "Also, the rockets are produced by terrorist organizations, not a complex arms industry."

Regarding why there have been so many misfires, Truzman said he believes it's because the terrorists have not "perfected" the process of developing efficient rockets with reliable materials.

"An example of a misfire was filmed last year by a pro-Hamas outfit called al-Mayadeen. The crew filmed a rocket fired by a Palestinian terrorist group, landing short, striking civilian infrastructure," he said. "While Hamas and other groups have learned how to self-produce rockets, it certainly doesn't mean they have perfected it, and this is likely the reason why we are witnessing some of these rockets landing inside the Gaza Strip."

But leave it to the Western press to blame Israel for the actions of terrorists.
