Democratic gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams, kind of hinted that if she really gets elected as Georgia's governor, she would do what Gov. Brian Kemp (R) has done, which is to keep the current tax cuts which saves Georgia's residents $1billion.

But like most Democrats, if you believe their campaign promises, you might also believe that your cat won't eat you after you die. Consider Biden's broken promises and ask yourself if Abrams will "pull a Joe" on you.
The Abrams campaign told Fox News, "Stacey has made clear she will not raise any taxes, she has clearly laid out how she will pay for her plans, and none of her plans to date or in the future will raise taxes."
This means that she will raise taxes.
When asked specifically if Abrams will commit to maintaining the tax cuts that were passed, a spokesperson replied, "Yes."

This means "no."
She also turned the tables on Team Kemp, pointing to the governor's suspension of the Peach State's gas tax he signed into law in May, which expires mid-July.
Abrams is calling for the suspension to extend until the end of the year, after the election, that is.

Maybe Kemp will extend the suspension, but it's hard to believe anything Abrams says--she still insists she won the 2018 gubernatorial election, which she lost by over 50,000 votes.
"Before saying another word on taxes, Kemp should follow Stacey Abrams’ lead by supporting an extension of the gas tax suspension until the end of 2022," the Abrams campaign told Fox News. "Instead, he has indicated he will restore gas taxes to full levels next month, raising gas taxes and gas prices."
Believe the Abrams campaign at your own risk, Georgia. At least Kemp's campaign told the network that the governor will "continue to evaluate a further suspension of the gas tax" and will "make the decision soon in consultation with legislative leadership," noting that it amounts to "$170 million" saved per month.
The Kemp campaign also pushed back on Abrams' assertion that she wouldn't raise any taxes. The campaign told the outlet that "Abrams is rolling out plans to spend billions of taxpayer money and isn’t being honest about how she’d pay for it."
"Like the liberals she’s beholden to in the Biden Administration, Abrams is using fuzzy math and praying no one notices," Kemp campaign deputy communications director Reagan McCarthy said. "Hardworking Georgians struggling to make ends meet thanks to Democrat policies deserve a straight answer from her on how much their taxes will go up to pay for her campaign ‘promises.’"

Although former President Trump did not endorse Kemp, instead endorsing David Perdue, in an attempt to unseat Kemp because he certified Georgia's election results, the governor kicked Perdue's butt in the election. He won an incredible 73.7% of the Republican vote. To his credit, Perdue conceded the election and offered his support for Kemp. Whether or not Trump will forgive and forget before November, is anyone's guess, but I guess not. As much as I like what Trump accomplished in his 4 years as president, his ego is fragile and it's hard to get back on his good side.
I hope I'm wrong.
The latest polls show Kemp having a five-point lead over Abrams, according to the average from RealClearPolitics. Why anyone would vote for Abrams is a mystery.
