Former CNN anchor arrested for allegedly trying to leave DUI crash scene

This wasn't the first time Leon Harris, a former CNN host who currently works for a Washington, D.C. TV station, has been arrested for Driving Under the Influence. His first time was in 2013 when he was pulled over by a Maryland State Trooper for a DUI and received probation. He pleaded guilty in that incident.

Now the former CNN anchor allegedly hit the rear end of another vehicle, which pushed it into a third car and Harris failed a breathalyzer test, showing his blood-alcohol level twice the legal state's limit. Thankfully nobody was seriously hurt in the crash that the former CNN host tried to leave.

Since having left CNN, Harris' current employer is an NBC affiliate.

The former CNN host who now works for WRC will not appear on-air while an investigation into the crash is ongoing.

Harris faces nine charges, including driving while under the influence of alcohol, driving while impaired by alcohol, attempting to elude police, failure to control vehicle speed to avoid a collision, and being a former CNN host.
