K-pop is short for Korean popular music that started in South Korea as part of their culture and is influenced by other genres and styles around the world such as pop, rock, gospel, jazz, reggae, R&B and more. Modern K-pop began in the 1990s as part of K-pop "idol" culture and grew into a subculture amassing a huge following of teens and young adults.
The recent and disturbing uncovering of the executions was documented in a new report titled "Mapping Killings Under Kim Jong-Un" and provided by a South Korean-based human rights group. Unafraid of any blowback from its citizens, the executions were often carried out publicly as a warning to others who might want to pretend they weren't [barely] living in one of the world's worst s**tholes under a corpulent dictator who would just as soon kill you as look at you. Kim would usually force family members of those to be executed to watch the deadly punishments, but it is not known whether former NBA player Dennis Rodman ever attended an execution.
The reported executions under fat Kim’s reign were mapped out with the help of 638 North Korean defectors who cooperated with the report’s authors.

The evil dictator has called K-pop a "vicious cancer" corrupting the “attire, hairstyles, speeches, behaviors” of young people in North Korea.

But Kim's hairstyle is just fine . . . except for anyone else who dares to try sporting it.
Talk about culture wars--this is a real one.
