Here's something Biden didn't see coming: Taliban forbids women to work

Where are America's feminists?

Kabul -- Afghan women in the Kabul city government have been ordered to stay home by the new, softer, gentler Taliban. If a job can only be performed by a woman, she can go to work, but only if she covers herself so completely that she doesn't look like a woman and thus cannot turn on men who can be sexually aroused by a naked ankle or wrist. Go figure. The new order comes from the interim mayor of Kabul, some guy whose name is probably Mohammad-ish.

Co-President Joseph Robinette Biden, Jr., [whose Indian name is "Smoke Signals Broken"] was taken by surprise when he was apprised by staff of these latest rules set forth by his friends at the Taliban. But on the other hand, Joe is surprised if he remembers where he put his slippers and the name of the lady who sleeps next to him every night.

Despite the Taliban's initial promises that they would be more tolerant, inclusive and less kill-ish, they must have had their fingers crossed because they were fibbing. Back in the their former glory days of the 1990s, they barred all females from jobs, public life and schooling. See, the thing is, a woman's success threatens their fragile egos, and a woman showing even a modicum of her skin worries these insecure terrorists thinking that another dude can come along

In the last few days, this softer, kinder, sweeter and less beheading-ish Taliban put forth several decrees taking away the rights of females.

Middle- and high school girls were told they couldn't return to class for the time being, but boys, of course, resumed classes this weekend. Female university students were told that studies would be done in gender-segregated settings, and not one leftist or liberal, including Joe Biden, informed the Taliban that there are no differences in gender and that even men can have babies and can 'delusion-nurse' them. Girls and women in school must abide by strict Islamic dress code, lest Islamic men walk around with tents in their skivvies. Before Biden had us surrender to the Taliban, university studies had been mostly co-ed.

On Friday, the Taliban shut down the Women’s Affairs Ministry, replacing it with a ministry for the “propagation of virtue and the prevention of vice” and tasked with enforcing Islamic law, which includes such virtuous sharia tasks as: killing gays, lesbians, atheists, people "not of the 'Book', and apostates [those who leave Islam].

On Sunday, just over a dozen women staged a protest outside the ministry, holding up signs calling for the participation of women in public life. There was absolutely no sign saying: "Mohammad, Mohammad, he's our man; if he can't free us no one can."

“Why are they (the Taliban) taking our rights?” said one of the protesters, 30-year-old Basira Tawana. “We are here for our rights and the rights of our daughters.”

Evidently, these women were either too young, or were not around twenty years ago when the U.S. and our allies stopped these scumcrumpets in their terrorist tracks. Many of these women never knew what the oppression was like before that.

Elsewhere in the city, interim Kabul Mayor Hamdullah Namony gave his first news conference since being appointed by the Biden-sanctioned Taliban.

He said that before the Taliban takeover last month, just under one-third of almost 3,000 city employees were women, and that they had worked in all departments. But now they've been ordered to stay home, pending a further decision and exceptions were made for women who could not be replaced by men. He was not referring to Victoria Secret models or bartenders, but included some in engineering and design departments and public toilets attendants for women.

Right now the biggest challenge Biden's Taliban buddies face is the fast economic downturn. But leave it to Joe--he just might send them palates of taxpayer money to help them get back on their feet and into the military equipment they inherited from us.

Afghans are selling their belongings just to make ends meet. Abandoning them is unconscionable and should humiliate the Biden administration. But you cannot humiliate those who have no humility in the first place.
