Do as she says, not as she does: Democrat hypocrisy

Minnesota -- In yet another installment of Democratic hypocrisy, we have a scolding Democrat city official berating people who do not follow the snow-shoveling scofflaws but who, herself, does not follow them.

Hypocrite!

City Council President Lisa Bender, a member of the Democratic-Farmer-Labor party owns a home in the Wedge neighborhood with her adoring husband. She backed a tough approach on fellow residents who don't shovel snow but alas, Bender has been the subject of seven (7) complaints last winter.

She and her adoring husband was issued a fine of $149 at a home they own.\ according to a report.

Bender told the Minneapolis Star Tribune that she was clueless about the condition her sidewalks were in after the snows in which neither she nor her adoring husband shoveled. Is she an idiot or merely a hypocritical Democrat who thinks she's above the long shovel of the law?

“We’ve owned our house for ten years. We’re a family of two working parents with two small children, and we do our very best to shovel our sidewalk at all times,” Bender lied.

But the bill she supported did not differentiate the number of kids a family has nor whether both parents worked. The snow had to be shoveled lest the fine be imposed. In other words, what's good for the goose is good for the Benders.

The city sent out letters earlier in the month reminding residents of the requirement to shovel their sidewalks after snowstorms, the paper reported.

Bender said she supports a stricter approach so that sidewalks remain clear this winter, according to the report, just not for her nor her adoring husband.

“If there are times when we haven’t gotten to it, then that’s why the city’s enforcement mechanism is there,” she cried. “I should not have to be treated like every other property owner in the city.”

Just kidding. She didn't really say that.
