Samantha Bee: you can cut the hypocrisy with a dull knife

Roseanne Barr made a stupid racist remark about Valerie Jarret, a horrible human being, and she apologized for it and begged ABC not to fire her. Barr, being a Trump supporter, didn't stand a chance and within a few hours found herself out the door.

I do not blame ABC for firing Barr. I believe President Trump should have applauded their move, but he didn't.

Samantha Bee made a vulgar, misogynist remark about Ivanka Trump and she apologized for it, saying her expletive (she called Ivanka a "c**t") crossed the line and that it was "inexcusable," but she's hoping to be excused for it and the chances are great that she will be.

Both Barr and Bee have shows on the Disney-owned networks, but the four hours it took Barr to get axed has long-since passed while Bee remains employed and even received an award last night, the Television Academy Honors for her contribution to social change.

In this instance the change involved making it acceptable for the left to call women who appear to be on the right (Ivanka is actually a Democrat) a "c**t," the most vile and disgusting word anyone could use to describe a female she or he doesn't like.

Worse, Bee made an innuendo that Ivanka should dress sexy to manipulate her father. Rather than mentioning that, the unfunny phony said:

"We spent the day wrestling with the repercussions of one bad word, when we all should have spent the day incensed that as a nation we are wrenching children from their parents and treating people legally seeking asylum as criminals. If we are OK with that then really, who are we?"

That claim is a lie. Nobody is 'wrenching children from their parents.

President Trump tends to fight back over every personal attack, even when he's 'punching down.' I think it diminishes him, although I know many believe it's okay. But in this instance, where a talentless person attacks his family and suggests that his daughter should use her sexual allure to get him to do what Bee wants him to do, is beyond the limit.

I don't blame Trump at all for coming back at this vulgar pig. I just wouldn't blast her for having "no talent," that speaks for itself. But he's right to call it a "total double standard" is right on the money, and asking why Bee hasn't been fired is a "total fair question."

Trump tweeted Friday:
"Why aren't they firing no talent Samantha Bee for the horrible language used on her low ratings show? A total double standard but that's O.K., we are Winning, and will be doing so for a long time to come!"
Trump often speaks to the 'no talent' of his enemies, but that is irrelevant to the discussion. He needs to consider how Bee's words are in opposition to the feminist movement, which only seems to be a movement for women on the left. He needs to point out the abject hypocrisy of such a statement.

But he seems more caught up in TV ratings and level of talent, or whether a media outlet is "failing," and that isn't important to the conversation.

Now let's see how Bee's "heartfelt" Roseanne Barr-ish apology works on the leftist media.

"I crossed a line, and I deeply regret it," Bee lied Thursday. The only thing she regrets is the fallout from her vulgarity.

TBS issued a "heartfelt" apology too. They said that Bee "has taken the right action in apologizing for the vile and inappropriate language she used about Ivanka Trump," and added that "those words should not have been aired."

Bee's TBS show, "Full Frontal" is taped. It's a mystery how her words got past their own review.

"It was our mistake too, and we regret it," TBS said.

No, they don't regret it.

TBS allowed Samantha Bee to make those vulgar remarks that were inspired by a simple photo of Ivanka Trump and her child posted on Twitter. It was not a mistake, unless the person or people responsible are also held to the proper standard and are fired along with Bee.

How did they miss these words:

"You know Ivanka, that's a beautiful photo of you and your child, but let me just say, one mother to another, do something about your dad's immigration practices you feckless c**t! He listens to you! Put on something tight and low cut and tell your father to f**king stop it. Tell him it was an Obama thing and see how it goes."

The italics are mine--they point out the implication of incest in Bee's words. Let's call them a "micro-aggression;" that seems to work for their side.

Bee's monologue was uploaded to her YouTube channel where the "C" and "F" words were not censored.

So there's that.
