NY Times and French Muslims Wondering

The New York Times the "paper of leftist record," discussed the backlash the Muslim population of France is feeling since the jihadist attacks on Charlie Hebdo and the kosher supermarket last week, killing 17 innocent people (Liz Alderman, Jan. 10, 2015).

"Last week's terrorist attacks without doubt set all of France on edge, but the sense of wariness, even siege, has grown increasingly profound among Frances' Muslim population--the largest in Europe--which seems braced for a potential backlash, both political and personal."

Since the barbaric attacks, several mosques across France have been shot at and hit by small explosive devices. Some have even suffered the markings of "racist" graffiti. Nobody died in the process.

If Islam is a race, then being black or Asian or white must be a religion. Islam is an ideology and ideologies should be open to questioning. How else can a person make an informed decision as to whether he or she wants to adopt that belief in their life?

People in the West are marching against the Islamization of Europe. The Times writes: " . . . the firebombing of a mosque in Sweden and warnings by British officials about a rise in Islamophobia."

Islamophobia? Really?

It is abundantly clear that The New York Times goes along with the word 'Islamophobia,' a word invented as a strategy by the Council on American Islamic Relations to keep people from discussing the problem of Islam in a forthcoming way. But it has worked on the New York Times.

Islamophobia--is defined as the irrational fear of Islam, therefore an irrational fear of Muslims. Can someone please explain what the irrationality is about this fear? They are killing people around the world. Sure, most Muslims aren't terrorists, but most terrorists are Muslims. If these leftist newspapers weren't afraid, they would have printed the newsworthy photos of the cartoons that sparked the jihadist killing of the cartoonists.

It isn't a phobia when the fear is real.

Hassen Farsadou, president of the Union of Muslim Associations of Seine-Saint-Denis, called the attacks "a despicable, criminal act, which we condemn utterly. But it's the rest of us who are paying the bill--that's the problem now, and we fear it will be a problem in the future. The Muslim community is very afraid."

So let's get this straight: these terrorist acts were committed by Islamic jihadists who were avenging cartoons about the prophet of Islam, and killing Jews because it says to kill them in the Koran.

And the Muslims say they are afraid?

Why aren't they coming forward and fingering the mosques where they hear the anti-West preaching by the imams who are looking to spread terror and establish a caliphate? Why aren't Muslims marching against the anti-Semites in France--a group of haters growing larger and larger? It wasn't simply anti-Semites that killed Jews in the kosher supermarket. It was  a Muslim anti-Semite because Islam preaches it. Muslims hate the Jews because they're supposed to hate them. Read the Koran!

To say you condemn something but do nothing about it is like Obama saying he condemns this act of violence in France, then goes on to talk about free community colleges. Words do nothing; actions do.

It's clear that the New York Times, like the presidents of France and the USA, are refusing to deal with the full truth. In France's case, I believe it's out of fear that Hollande dances around it. In the USA's case, I believe Obama quietly supports Islam.
