Car-ramming terrorist near Jerusalem killed

An Arab terrorist [who will remain unnamed] who tried to ram his car into a parked armored police vehicle apparently didn't understand the nature of mechanical properties of materials, including tensile strength and the physics that deals with the behavior of solid materials under various forces.

The ignorant young man, 27, was from the Nablus area when he came upon the police vehicle on Route 60 near the town of Ofra, just north of Jerusalem on Sunday.

The car came speeding like a bat out of Jahannam toward the officers and narrowly missed one. Boom! The driver was killed on impact as the sturdier vehicle was not his car but the armored vehicle he tried to destroy.

No officers were injured, and a bomb squad was sent to inspect the vehicle. 

There was no bomb and no animals were hurt making this debacle.

Barehanded badass Israeli EMT takes on knife-wielding terrorist and treats the victims

A United Hatzalah volunteer EMT named Benny Meshulam had left for work from his home in Beer Yaakov in central Israel when he saw that oncoming traffic had come to a stop. He then witness two men lying on the sidewalk with people all around them in an obvious commotion. [H/T United with Israel].

United Hatzalah is an Israeli free, volunteer-based emergency medical services organization that serves all of Israel with its headquarters based in Jerusalem.

“At first, I didn’t understand what was happening,” Meshulam recounted. “After a few seconds, I realized that it was a terror attack. I immediately put my car in park, flipped up the handbrake, and ran toward the incident, shouting ‘terrorist.’”

There were two other Israeli citizens, barehanded, working in concert to subdue the terrorist after he had stabbed a pair of IDF troops from nearby Tzrifin army base. Both soldiers were around 20-years-old. one of them was wounded seriously, the other not quite as bad.

Meshulam, along with the other two men, had tackled the terrorist to prevent him from harming anyone else, including those congregated at the side of the roadway.

“We punched and kicked him, and used anything else we could in order to knock him down,” Benny said.

“The terrorist looked determined. I could see the evil in his eyes. Once he was no longer a threat, I ran towards one of the men, who had sustained serious injuries from being stabbed in his upper torso. I provided initial treatment, bandaging the man’s wounds and applying pressure on them in order to stop the bleeding. I contacted dispatch and made sure that backup was on the way.

“After a few minutes, other volunteers arrived and took over treating the young man. I then went to treat the second person who had been injured in the incident. His wounds were less severe, and he was in light condition.”

Both victims were quickly evacuated to the nearby Assaf HaRofeh hospital for further treatment.

Meshulam visited the young men after the incident and said that he was grateful that he had the opportunity to help.

“I feel privileged that I was able to help neutralize the threat and save a man’s life. I still haven’t fully internalized what happened. It will probably take me a long time to process what happened this morning and the part I played in it. I simply reacted and did what needed to be done. The emotional fallout and decompressing will take time.”

The terrorist, a scumcrumpet from Hebron, was arrested and is in custody of the police. He will be provided with a smart, Jewish lawyer a Koran and a prayer mat if so requested.

POTUS in France: they shook hands and wow!

President Trump arrived in Paris Thursday morning (EDST) for a meeting with France's President Emmanuel Macron. The meeting may mark a change in our relationship with the 'croissant nation.'

This year, American troops will join our French allies in the annual parade which marks 100 years since the US entered into World War One.

But today, something much more important took place, at least more important to the media--Presidents Trump and Macron shook hands.

When the pair first met ahead of the NATO summit in May, President Macron provided President Trump with a gripping handshake in front of the cameras, which he held for several long moments. 

But Macron also appeared to snub Trump later in the summit when he apparently swerved away from Trump's open arms, making our President wait while Macron schmoozed with other so-called world leaders.

When Trump announced he was pulling our of a key climate change agreement brokered in Paris, Macron released a video in English, inviting US scientists to come and live in France and used the slogan to "Make Our Planet Great Again," which was kind of a lazy reach at parody.

Things haven't been all peachy keen between them since Trump backed Macron's right-wing rival Marine Le Pen during the French presidential election. In fact, Russian influence in both US and French elections hang heavily over this visit.

But the handshake . . . 

"It is high time to finish with the juvenile rivalry of handshakes," an editorial in Le Monde said last month. It explained that Mr. Macron may have "stolen the American president's monopoly on being unpredictable . . .[but he] wants to become the European leader of the international political scene. To achieve this, he'll have to go beyond images and symbols."

Macron excels at flattering world leaders, kissing up to them, as it were, and he has made a strong effort most recently to do that with Mr. Trump.

Macron is young and inexperienced, receiving less than 25 percent of the vote in the first round of the French election. He now wants to increase his influence on the world stage and boost his popularity at home. 

Jean-Christophe Cambadélis, the secretary-general of the Socialist Party, told a French newspaper that Macron was "looking for the company of the world's big leaders" because he wanted to "legitimize his victory."

So when Trump landed in France this morning, he was greeted by a display of pomp and military might.

But the handshake . . . 

President Trump's acceptance of Macron's invitation was also a chance for him to show his transatlantic ties and the shared challenges the two countries face: the Syrian conflict, the fight against world terrorism, and the military alliance.

Tomorrow's commemorations will be a sad reminder of last year's Bastille Day terrorist attack in Nice, where 86 people were killed when a Tunisian-born Muslim man drove a truck through crowds gathered to watch the fireworks on the Promenade des Anglais.

Security has been significantly increased this year, as the French, like the rest of the world, closes the barn door after the horses escape.

But the handshake . . . the men stood across from each other. President Trump cocked an eye at President Macron. Then President Macron cocked an eye at President Trump.

Both men stood there . . . cock-eyed.

The French military band played The Star Spangled Banner then belted out La Marseillaise.

The handshake . . . both men extended their right arms, hands out front, palms perpendicular to the deck. 

The two hands met, then clasped in international solidarity . . .  then the two hands went up . . .  then down . . . and all too soon, all too very soon, the two hands left the company of one another returning on their journey to the sides of two presidents.


Big deal.

BREAKING: 3 at large attackers kill 5 people

UPDATE: The U.S. consulate is asking that people shelter in place as it is believed that there may be at least one or two additional gunmen on the loose.

The attack began in the McDonald's restaurant and it is possible that the shooter or shooters were targeting children. 

MUNICH -- At least 5 people are known dead at the hands of what authorities believe are 3 shooters in a shopping mall.

Emergency calls of an armed man on site elicited a fast response by law enforcement. 

A brief press conference was held just before 3:30 p.m. EST.

The mall and surrounding areas have been shut down. Officials are asking the public to share information and any videos that may give them leads.

One of the shooters reportedly took his gun and killed himself according to police sources.

An unconfirmed report has said that this was a 'far right' attack, but that could simply be a leftist rumor. Allegedly, one of the shooters wearing black boots shouted out in German: "F*** foreigners."

No reports of "Allahu Akbar" shouts have been given . . . but in my guts, I believe that jihad was the motive. Fox News' Shep the Lib Smith said that it is not an Islamic jihadist attack as far as they know at this time. But Shep Smith also believes that if a white person says "All lives matter" that it's a racist remark.

So one gunman killed himself but he didn't do it for Islam--he did it for his anti-immigration political views, according to current police reports. 

We are not ruling out neo-Nazis.
