Biden can't handle the truth: slams U.S. Army report blaming his admin for Afghan clusterfrack

The U.S. Army filed a report that blamed the Biden administration for its mindless and disastrous exit from Afghanistan last summer which resulted in 13 American military personnel being killed by a suicide bomber and left hundreds of American civilians and Afghans who aided us behind.

Alleged President Biden appeared on NBC News with Lester Holt and responded to the report that appeared in The Washington Post that day.

The transcript is as follows:

HOLT: On the subject of American citizens, I have to draw your attention to that Army report, an investigative report that’s come out about the lead up to the withdrawal from Afghanistan. It interviewed many military officials and officers who said the administration ignored the handwriting on the wall. Another described trying to get folks in the Embassy ready to evacuate, encountering people who were essentially in denial of the situation. Does any of that ring true to you?

JOE BIDEN: No. No, that’s not what I was told.

HOLT: That, you were told that the U.S. administration officials were prepared, they knew it was time to get out?

BIDEN: No. What I was told, no one told me that, look, there was no good time to get out. But if we had not gotten out, they acknowledged that we would have had to put a hell of a lot more troops back in. It wasn’t just 2,000, 4,000, we would have to significantly increase the number of troops, and we’re back in this this war of attrition. And, and there was no way we were ever going to unite Ukraine, excuse me, Iraq, Afghanistan. No way that was going to happen. And so this is a much wiser thing to do.

HOLT: I just want to clarify, are you rejecting the conclusions or the the accounts that are in this Army report?

BIDEN: Yes, I am.

HOLT: So they’re not true?

BIDEN: I’m rejecting them.

So it specifies that senior White House and State Department officials weren't able to assess the situation of the Taliban's steady advance on Kabul and even resisted attempts by U.S. military brass to prepare to evacuate embassy personnel and Afghan allies in the weeks prior to the fall of the capital city. This place our military that were ordered to carry out the evacuation in greater danger as stated in sworn testimony from multiple military leaders involved in what turned out to be amateur hour.

Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) called Biden’s remarks “delusional.”

Cruz was being kind.

The truth is, Biden is a liar and has always been a liar. His rationale for pulling out of Afghanistan the way we did was about his narcissistic need to have the legacy that he was the president who ended our involvement in the war. There are reportedly more Americans and Afghans stuck in the country that should have been evacuated and that's on Biden's empty head.

Rep. Peter Meijer (R-MI) tweeted: “The only non-profane thing I can say is he has impressive message discipline on ‘defending the *concept* of withdrawal’ (objectively defensible, to which I agree) versus ‘defending the *execution* of the withdrawal’ (objectively indefensible, which still boils my blood).”

Sen. Josh Hawley (R-MO) tweeted: “Joe Biden tonight DENYING the facts laid out in a 2000 page Army report on the collapse of Afghanistan – and the White House’s total lack of preparation, It is time Senate Democrats stopped the whitewash and held hearings. In public. Now.”

Biden's approval rated is in the toilet for good reason. He is clearly unable to fulfill his role as President and has no business being in the White House. People should demand he take a cognitive test immediately.

No Christmas celebration for Mattis: Trump taps Patrick Shanahan as Acting Sec Def

Defense Secretary James Mattis turned in his resignation letter effect the end of February, but evidently it angered President Trump that Mattis was leaving and how Mattis'  bombshell resignation letter was written, so he will be gone as of January 1st.

Trump announced the news in a tweet Sunday morning:
"I am pleased to announce that our very talented Deputy Secretary of Defense, Patrick Shanahan, will assume the title of Acting Secretary of Defense starting January 1, 2019. Patrick has a long list of accomplishments while serving as Deputy, & previously Boeing. He will be great!"
In his resignation letter Thursday, Mattis, 68, had said he would remain in his role for more than three months, and on that day Trump said Mattis -- the first Cabinet official in 40 years to resign over a policy difference with the president -- was leaving in February.

POTUS evidently changed his mind.

"The end date for my tenure is February 28, 2019, a date that should allow sufficient time for a successor to be nominated and confirmed as well as to make sure the Department's interests are properly articulated and protected at upcoming events to include Congressional posture hearings and the NATO Defense Ministerial meeting in February," Mattis wrote Thursday.

It was not immediately clear why Mattis' departure date was apparently moved up, but sources told Fox News that Mattis quit "in protest" over the Trump's national security policies and that more resignations could be coming, which turned out to be true after Brett McGurk, U.S. envoy for the global coalition to defeat Islamic State also resigned the following day. His resignation is effective December 31st.

The president downplayed the news via Twitter Saturday evening, saying he had neither met McGurk nor appointed him. He tweeted:
"Brett McGurk, who I do not know, was appointed by President Obama in 2015. Was supposed to leave in February but he just resigned prior to leaving. Grandstander? The Fake News is making such a big deal about this nothing event!"
He followed up with:
"If anybody but your favorite President, Donald J. Trump, announced that, after decimating ISIS in Syria, we were going to bring our troops back home (happy & healthy), that person would be the most popular hero in America. With me, hit hard instead by the Fake News Media. Crazy!"
The White House's plan to withdraw about half its troops in Afghanistan by the summer -- some 7,000 soldiers -- has drawn similar criticism.

Having troops anywhere to fight Islamists is not very effective. If we actually did defeat ISIS completely, another jihadi group would take its place. It isn't about who we are fighting, in terms of the group's name or country of affiliation, it's what we are fighting--sharia.

It's best to allow each faction of Islam, regarding how they view sharia, to kill each other and spare our own forces. Islam is its own worst enemy and Trump is probably right in the pullout of our troops.
