The anti debate excuses are starting

"Watch how I hang this sucker on my ear"

Joe Lockhart, like CNN, is a progressive Democrat who is as honest as Obama and the "keeping your doctor" statement.

Lockhart was Bill "I didn't have sex with that woman" Clinton's press secretary and he has written an op-ed piece [and I use the word 'piece' in a semantically overloaded way] for the Compromised News Network (CNN) that advises presumptive Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden, to not debate President Trump before the November election. 

Just don't show up, is the sage advice Lockhart gives the mentally compromised Biden.

Supposedly, there are three debates scheduled beginning September 29th and running through October 22nd.  

Lockhart wants Joe to forget about them, which for Joe and his Swiss cheese memory, should be the easiest task he would undertake in his bid to ruin the economy.

“Whatever you do, don’t debate Trump,” Lockhart wrote last week. “Trump has made more than 20,000 misleading or false statements according to the Washington Post. It’s a fool’s errand to enter the ring with someone who can’t follow the rules or the truth. Biden will undoubtedly take heat from Republicans and the media for skipping the debates. But it’s worth the risk as trying to debate someone incapable of telling the truth is an impossible contest to win.”

So rather than coming to the debate armed with facts to go after Trump's so-called lies, Biden should just not show up. Now that's a real sign of strength.

The truth is everyone, who gets their information from sources not married to the Democrat Party, knows that Biden's thought processes are sharp as water. He gaffes more often than Trump says "very." 

Put Biden on a debate stage with Trump and he will show the country just how burnt out his brain is. Trump will make him look like an angry old man whose lawn is being overrun by BLM rioters.

And Lockhart on Sunday, using a cheap ad hominem attack, tweeted:

 “Debating @realDonaldTrump is like debating the last drunk in a bar at closing time. Anybody ever win one of those debates. We built a wall and Mexico paid for it. We’ve beaten the invisible enemy. Nobody’s been tougher on Russia. Get me one more drink bartender.”

Other Democrats came after Trump with their own false attacks. 

Zac Petkanas, a former Hillary Clinton senior adviser [she's the woman who still believes she won the last presidential election] tweeted last week saying that Biden should skip the debates because Trump is not a "legitimate candidate," thus discounting half of the American public who believes otherwise by voting for him.

And [the birdcage liner known as] The New York Times columnist Thomas Friedman, the guy who knows as much about economics as Alexandria Obviously-Comatose, said Biden should only debate Trump if the president releases his tax returns. Friedman knows Trump never would do that voluntarily, so his statement was, in effect, telling Biden not to debate him. He also said that Trump should also agree to a real-time fact-check by an independent [preferably leftist] group during the debates.

That isn't how debates work and Friedman should know that--but even that is debatable. 

Former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee (R) says the duck the debate strategy won’t fly. He said Biden should come out of his basement if he wants a chance to move into the White House. “You can’t run for president, you can’t be president and just say, ‘Let me know when this is all over because right now I’m in the hidey-hole, I plan to stay there until this all blows over.’”

Huckabee also commented on Lockhart's excuse for Biden staying hidden from the public view.  “It’s just a way of trying to justify Joe pulling out of the debates because they know that it would be a cratering moment for him.”

Lockhart and Cruz

Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) mocked Lockhart’s op-ed on Sunday, posting on Twitter:, calling it: “Basement strategy, part 2.”

In his op-ed, headlined “Joe Biden could still lose this election,” Lockhart also advised Biden: “Don’t be afraid to be boring. The public is tired of Trump’s act. They want competence to replace the reality show. Stick to your own game. Always be the adult in the race.”

Even if it means you're not much more than a dead body.

When asked for comment, Biden told Brain Flushings: "I have to go to another appointment--I'm already late."

Lexington, Va. suffering after Red Hen restaurant kicked out Sarah Sanders

Lexington, Virginia -- the town known for The Red Hen restaurant that kicked out White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders, along with her family, is not doing so well with the American public and is struggling to recover.

The entire town faced a backlash after the incident in downtown Lexington last June after the owner of the joint, Stephanie Wilkinson, reportedly followed the Sanders party across the street and organized a protest, "yelling and screaming at them from outside the restaurant and creating this scene," said former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee, even though Sarah had already left the party.

President Trump took to Twitter calling The Red Hen "filthy" and "dirty," which is the same thing.

Since this happened, the tourism in the town is appropriately suffering.

The Roanoke Times wrote on Sunday that the regional tourism board is now using emergency funds to try boosting its digital marketing campaign and officials say these funds were need because "the region is in desperate need of positive coverage."

In other words, if you're in the Trump administration, or on board with his conservative policies and appointments he has done, the town will no longer throw you out of their establishments. But don't even think about coming to town wearing a MAGA hat or tee shirt.

Supposedly, local businesses were reportedly 'appalled' by Wilkinson's "small-minded and intolerant" decision to kick Sanders and her party from her restaurant and called upon Wilkinson to step down from her position as executive director of the volunteer-based organization Main Street Lexington.

The scum muffin resigned from the position on June 26th.

Elizabeth Branner, president of the Main Street Lexington board of directors tried to put lipstick on the pig: "Considering the events of the past weekend, Stephanie felt it best that for the continued success of Main Street Lexington, she should step aside."

It seems that it would have been better had Branner instead said, "Based upon her intolerant and inappropriate behavior toward the White House Press Secretary and her family, we fired Wilkinson on the spot."

The restaurant closed for two weeks following the incident and reopened for business on July 6th. Her immature and disgusting behavior has hurt the town's reputation, but it's unclear if it hurt her business.

The town's tourism office has received a barrage of angry phone calls and emails and the negative feedback continues. A recent letter from a Georgia family said they would never return to Lexington because of what The Red Hen did to Ms. Sanders.

Lexington is a small, prosperous University town and voted for Hillary Clinton in the 2016 election by a two-to-one ration. So my gut tells me that this would not have been the only business to harass Trump folks, but it's the first one to take the advice of Democratic idiots like Maxine Waters and her ilk.

Therefore, I have little sympathy for them and their fascist methods.

Huckabee and Santorum want to stump with Trump for vets

Now that Trump has opted out of tonight's debate and will go to Drake University to put on a show for veterans to raise money, Mike Huckabee and Rick Santorum have decided to join the Donald. 

Why not? If they can convince veterans that it's okay to be used as political pawns, then it's certainly a good move for them to use them as such. But being a veteran myself, I think it smells funny and I don't like it. You may disagree and I respect that.

Perhaps Huckabee and Santorum know they have as much chance at actually winning the presidential nomination as Hillary Clinton has of going an entire day without lying. Therefore, being with the front-runner might make them look like viable candidates.

And I don't dislike either Huckabee or Santorum--I actually do--but it sounds too much like politics and not enough about integrity. 

Huckabee put in a call to the Trump campaign and hasn't yet heard back--perhaps Donald is trying to make him sweat. "If they say that they would be happy to have me, I'll be there."

Santorum said that "After the debate, I'm not going to be doing anything, so, I guess, if it's a charitable thing for the troops and he invites other people to come, I certainly would attend to support the troops."

Santorum is also awaiting an invite from the campaign in charge.

It's unclear if Huckabee would forgo the debate if Trump told him to show up prior to it, but that's something we cannot know if he isn't invited to stump with Trump.

Another CNBC vacuous moment

It looks like the neurologically challenged writers at CNBC are at it again with attacking the GOP presidential candidates. In a typically slanted hit piece entitled "College-level speaking not required at the GOP debates" the leftist network attempted to categorize the candidates as contestants on "Are You As Smart As A Fifth Grader."

The opening sentence read: In debates rife with confrontation and verbal barbs, there was one thing that wasn't a big surprise. Nobody was speaking above a high school level. (Italics are mine.) 

Then the writer pointed out: And at least one front-runner was in elementary school territory. (Again, my italics.)

The grade scores they gave to each GOP contender, according to speech patterns based on the Flesch-Kincaid readability test were:

Ted Cruz: 9.1;  Marco Rubio 7.9;  Dr. Ben Carson 7.9; 
Mike Huckabee 7.6;  Jeb Bush 7.3;  Chris Christie 7.1;
Dr. Rand Paul 7.1;  Carly Fiorina 7.0;  John Kasich 6.9;
Donald Trump 5.2.

They describe Donald Trump as "at the youngest end of the spectrum--averaging a fifth-grade level of vocabulary." They admit that this may be why he is polling so well and thus seem to be implying the GOP electorate isn't as smart as those incredibly intelligent liberals.

But this is called 'plain talk' and the kind of speech that everyone (not just highly articulate, morally superior, secular, vegan, granola munching liberals) can relate to.

The article was a put-down of conservatives. I hope you'll read it and see that it's true.

On the other side of the spectrum, we have the Mensa-level liberals, the ever scandalous Hillary Clinton comes to mind, and I thought it would be interesting to use the same readability scale on one of her speeches--something she prepared in writing and not off the cuff in a debate.

This is it in part:

Thank you! Oh, thank you all! Thank you so very, very much.

It is wonderful to be here with all of you.

To be in New York with my family, with so many friends, including many New Yorkers who gave me the honor of serving them in the Senate for eight years.

To be right across the water from the headquarters of the United Nations, where I represented our country many times.

To be here in this beautiful park dedicated to Franklin Roosevelt’s enduring vision of America, the nation we want to be.

And in a place… with absolutely no ceilings.

You know, President Roosevelt’s Four Freedoms are a testament to our nation’s unmatched aspirations and a reminder of our unfinished work at home and abroad. His legacy lifted up a nation and inspired presidents who followed. One is the man I served as Secretary of State, Barack Obama, and another is my husband, Bill Clinton.

Two Democrats guided by the — Oh, that will make him so happy. They were and are two Democrats guided by the fundamental American belief that real and lasting prosperity must be built by all and shared by all.

President Roosevelt called on every American to do his or her part, and every American answered. He said there’s no mystery about what it takes to build a strong and prosperous America: “Equality of opportunity… Jobs for those who can work… Security for those who need it… The ending of special privilege for the few… The preservation of civil liberties for all… a wider and constantly rising standard of living.”

That still sounds good to me.

It’s America’s basic bargain. If you do your part you ought to be able to get ahead. And when everybody does their part, America gets ahead too.

That bargain inspired generations of families, including my own.

It’s what kept my grandfather going to work in the same Scranton lace mill every day for 50 years.

It’s what led my father to believe that if he scrimped and saved, his small business printing drapery fabric in Chicago could provide us with a middle-class life. And it did.

When President Clinton honored the bargain, we had the longest peacetime expansion in history, a balanced budget, and the first time in decades we all grew together, with the bottom 20 percent of workers increasing their incomes by the same percentage as the top 5 percent.

When President Obama honored the bargain, we pulled back from the brink of Depression, saved the auto industry, provided health care to 16 million working people, and replaced the jobs we lost faster than after a financial crash.

But, it’s not 1941, or 1993, or even 2009. We face new challenges in our economy and our democracy.

We’re still working our way back from a crisis that happened because time-tested values were replaced by false promises.

Instead of an economy built by every American, for every American, we were told that if we let those at the top pay lower taxes and bend the rules, their success would trickle down to everyone else.

What happened?

Well, instead of a balanced budget with surpluses that could have eventually paid off our national debt, the Republicans twice cut taxes for the wealthiest, borrowed money from other countries to pay for two wars, and family incomes dropped. You know where we ended up.

Except it wasn’t the end.

It scores a 7.9 on the Flesch-Readability test. But don't forget, this was a prepared speech with the opportunity to check and revise vocabulary. Hillary's words are no better than Ben Carson's unrehearsed statements.

So you can stick that so-called journalistic analysis into your nether regions, CNBC.

Oh, and by the way, I checked my own score (up to, but not including Hillary's speech) and it came to  10.9.
