May Day: over 40 leftists arrested nationwide

May Day. A public holiday that began as an ancient spring festival in the northern hemisphere. A holiday in many cultures where people dance and sing and let themselves eat cake. Children dance around the maypole. Happiness abounds.

Then the leftists screwed it up.

In the latter part of the 1800s, May Day was the date chosen for International Workers' Day by the Communists and Socialists of the Second International to honor the Haymarket affair in Chicago.

On Monday, police in Portland, Oregon had to shut down a May Day protest when it morphed into a riot after leftists began throwing smoke bombs and other paraphernalia at police. Twenty-five arrests were made, including a 14-year-old who was charged with rioting.

The Portland anarchists were dressed like ISIS scumcrumpets with covered faces and bandanas. They began breaking windows at businesses, setting fires on streets in the downtown area and damaged police cars.

In Seattle, Wash., five anarchists were arrested--one for throwing a rock as pro- and anti-Trump demonstrators faced off.

In the land of unicorns and magic mushrooms, Oakland, California, four people created a semi-human chain to block a county building and were arrested. They were demanding that county law enforcement refuse to collaborate with federal immigration officials.

Ironically, none of the protesters had even one illegal immigrant with a criminal record living nearby to their homes.

In Olympia, Washington, police ordered anarchists to disperse, calling them "members of a mob" as they threw bottles, fired pepper spray and shot marbles from slingshots at police. Nine officers were struck and nine protesters were arrested who had lost their marbles.

Across the country, most protests were peaceful with simple, mindless chants demanding free stuff from people who had the stuff to give them through their own hard work.

In a park in Los Angeles, thousands of people waved American flags waving signs that read: "love not hate" and not hitting Trump supporters with them this time.

The White House did not respond to requests for a response to the day's demonstrations, possibly because Trump knew that anything he said would be used against him.

May Day brings tears to Sanders' eyes

Commies and die-hard socialists from around the world celebrated May Day events, an event that began May 1, 1886, when over 300,000 workers in 13,000 businesses across the US walked off their jobs in the first May Day celebration ever.

Whoopie!

In Russia, tens of thousands of people marched out of step across Red Square in a pro-Kremlin workers' rally. They carried the Russian tricolor and balloons. The event was staged by the ruling United Russia party and forgot to criticize Putin for failing to create decent living standards, as is typical of communist economics, or commie-nomics.

Bernie Sanders, who is too busy campaigning in his bid to ruin America, was unable to have attended the event, but said that "Watching awl of those dedicated people marching together brought tears to my eyes."

Mr. Sanders is 74 and is not expected to win the nomination but promises to do as much economic damage to the country while there is breath in his body.

In Istanbul, the Turkish May Day celebration was punctuated by blasts from water cannons to disperse dozens of demonstrators.

Fistfights broke out between police and leftist demonstrators who were trying to reach Taksim Square, a place where 34 people were killed in a 1977 protest.

In Istanbul's Sisli and Bakirkoy districts, police used tear gas and water cannons to disrupt protesters. They also arrested 36 others who were creating havoc. In all, 15,000 copss and 120 water cannons were used in Istanbul.

Marches were held in other parts of Turkey but were cancelled in Gaziantep after a car bomb attack on a police station. The Sanders team denies any involvement in that incident.

Manila, Philippines saw about 2,000 protesters fighting with riot cops using water cannons and shields in order to keep the crazies from getting to the U.S. Embassy. Had they reached the Embassy, both Hillary Clinton nor John Kerry would have managed to find the appropriate video to be used as an excuse.

Some of the Manila protesters broke through police lines and began punching cops and hitting a fire truck with wooden sticks. The truck suffered mild contusions.

No arrests were made and the rally ended about two hours later.

In Taipei, Taiwan's capital, labor unions marched in the streets calling on government to reduce working hours and increase wages, not unlike the Sanders' plan.

Workers also demanded an extra five weeks paid vacation, a clothing allowance, free medical care, free tuition for them and their family, free housing, free dental, a company car, free lunch for all employees, twenty additional sick days, season tickets to all home games, and a color TV.

This brought yet another tear to Bernie's eye.
