Proposed Muslim cemetery creates tension

Oh little town of Dudley, Mass how still we see thee lie. But the battle over a Muslim cemetery in that small Massachusetts town grows as the state attorney general and U.S. attorney's office have stepped in, warning local officials they could be in violation of civil-rights laws.

Dudley only has a population of 11,000 people and is located on the Connecticut border. They are going up against the Islamic Society of Greater Worcester, who want to build a Muslim cemetery on former farmland there.

Dudley officials, known as "Duds", have cited concerns about the breadth of the project and worry about potential traffic issues and environmental impact, in questioning the appropriateness of the cemetery.

But who are they kidding?

The Islamic Society is correct. "This is 100% fear and bias," Jason Talerman, a lawyer for the Islamic Society said.

It isn't as if Islam has any dangerous connotations to its ideology, unless you consider all of its ideology as it relates to jihad, Jews, Christians, atheists, gays, lesbians, transgenders, Hindus, Zoroastrians, apostacy . . . I could really go on, but I'll spare you the pain.

I'm not sure if it's really fear the people of Dudley are feeling. I believe that like the reason Trump was elected, people are fed up of having to accomodate the 'religion of special needs.'

Gary Brackett, a lawyer for Dudley, denied the town is biased against Muslims. "The same concerns would have been raised whether it was a Catholic, or Jewish, or Protestant cemetery," he said.

He may be telling the truth, but I submit, there are other concerns people have concerning Islamic practices.

Textbook pulled saying some slaves treated like family

Norwalk, CT. -- According to a social studies textbook, some Connecticut slaves were treated like family, not possessions.

The text is titled: "The Connecticut Adventure."

Depicting white people as compassionate to slaves was too much for public school officials to tolerate and the text was pulled from the classrooms after a parent raised concerns about its depiction of slavery.

The book by John W. Ifkovic was published in 2001. In one chapter on slavery in Connecticut it states: "Compared to other colonies, Connecticut did not have many slaves. Some people owned one or two slaves. They often cared for and protected them like members of the family. They taught them to be Christian, and sometimes to read and write."

How dare Ifkovic state such facts!

District spokesliberal, Brenda Wilcox Williams, said the book had been used for several years at 10 of the 12 Norwalk schools. The concerns about the factual content were brought to the attention of district liberal officials November 29th and bam! within a week it was pulled.

"When it wqas brought to our attention it was pretty clear it wasn't consistent with our core beliefs and values," Williams said, referring to their values that feelings trumps facts and Hillary trumps Trump every time. "We felt it was important to respond quickly as a result of that."

Imagine how horrible it is for liberals to believe that slave owners were simply products of their time and could actually be decent people to their slaves.

Slavery is wrong. Totally wrong. It was a horrible time in our history and should never be repeated, although we still do business with countries, like Saudi Arabia and other Islamic nations, where slavery is practiced.

But if the text is accurately depicting the facts, that many Connecticut slave owners weren't horrible human beings and actually treated slaves somewhat like family, then it should be stated--in spite of how it goes against the liberal agenda.

The twuble with Twitter

Waterbury, CT -- The word is that Trump supporters are a bunch of racist crazies who would still vote for the guy if he shot someone on Broadway in Manhattan.

That may or may not be true, but a 20-year-old Connecticut male is being charged with tweeting a bomb threat during a Trump rally Saturday. Good ole Twitter is the new phone threat of the century.

Connecticut State Police report that the U.S. Secret Service contacted them Saturday about the Sean Morky tweet stating: "Is someone going to bomb the trump rally or am I going to have to?"

How quaint.

That tweet was followed with a warning to a friend to have his family leave the rally so they wouldn't get hurt where Trump was appearing in Bridgeport yesterday.

The tweets were twacked to a Waterbury home where they found the tweeter. The scrawny young male didn't pose a threat except, perhaps, to insects, but was taken into custody and released on $25,000 bond.

Morky immediately went home to his "safe space," changed his underwear, then played Clash of Clans for seven hours, refusing to comment to the media.
