Mojtaba Khamenei better not shop at Target because that's what he has become: next Supreme Leader in the crosshairs

Ali Khamenei's kid popped into the world back in 1969 and the U.S. has had him on the sanctions naughty list since 2019 for playing mini-dad and representing the old man in official regime business.

President Donald Trump confirmed that the mullahs' new brain trust has already reached out to talk turkey following the death of bushy bearded Ayatollah Khamenei, because nothing says "we're serious about change" like begging the guy who just helped turn your supreme leader into handy bite-size pieces.

Iran's Assembly of Experts, an oxymoron if there ever was one, has now crowned Mojtaba Khamenei, the son of the late Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, as the country's shiny new supreme leader, per Iranian state television. He better not go shopping at Target. Actually, he'd be smart to have his flunkies go shopping for him rather than being out in fresh air,

Mojtaba, 56, is the second-eldest spawn of Ali Khamenei. His toddler years lined up perfectly with his father's glow-up from dissident cleric to anti-Shah revolutionary rock star.

After the 1979 Islamic Revolution flipped the script, Ali Khamenei traded protest signs for power suits, grabbing plum gigs like deputy defense minister. The family packed up from Mashhad and headed to Tehran, where young Mojtaba enrolled at Alavi High School where he starred in the stone toss. That's the go-to academy for Iran's future political and religious VIPs, aka terrorists.

Mojit, as his mom calls him, got the full package there: regular classes plus heavy religious indoctrination, and he walked the stage in 1987. Then, in 1989, after Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini checked out to the great goat pastures, Ali Khamenei scored the supreme leader job.

That same year, Mojtaba kicked off his official clerical training in Tehran, studying under his dad and Mahmoud Hashemi Shahroudi, who would go on to become Iran's chief justice.

Over time, Mojtaba was glued to his father's side and built a reputation as the shadowy power broker pulling strings from behind the curtain.

In an Axios interview last week, when pressed on chatter that Mojtaba was about to take the throne, President Donald Trump said: "Khamenei's son is unacceptable to me. We want someone who will bring harmony and peace to Iran." He doubled down with, "They are wasting their time. Khamenei's son is a lightweight. I have to be involved in the appointment, like with Delcy [Rodriguez] in Venezuela."

Back in 2019, the U.S. slapped sanctions on Mojtaba under Executive Order 13867. The Treasury Department explained that he had been "representing the supreme leader in an official capacity despite never being elected or appointed to a government position aside from work in the office of his father."

They also noted that dear old dad had handed off chunks of his leadership duties to the boy wonder. Mojtaba worked hand-in-glove with IRGC Quds Force commanders and the Basij thugs, making him a major player in Iran's domestic crackdowns and overseas mischief.

So there you have it: another generation of Khamenei family rule locked in, complete with U.S. sanctions and Trump basically saying, "Not on my watch, pal." The regime's idea of progress is apparently just handing the keys to the same dynasty. Color me unsurprised.

THIS JUST IN: Mojtaba Kamenei has been eliminated by the IDF.

Just kidding. He hasn't left his confines yet, but Israel has him in their crosshairs.

WAPO's tearjerker obituary on Khamenei is a must see

The very recent demise of Iran's clown and religious Supreme Leader [for life] Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, has been eulogized in much the same way as the Islamic Republic Guard Corps' Qasem Soleimani had been by some in the leftist press.

The media lost their minds back when President Trump turned Qasem Soleimani into a puff of smoke and bad memories. Remember the hand-wringing, the solemn editorials about "escalation" and "proportionality," as if the world's leading sponsor of terror deserved a polite retirement party? So it comes as no shock whatever that they're handling the death of the late Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, the man who just got turned into ash in the first wave of airstrikes Saturday morning, delivering a serious body blow to the Iranian regime, with the same pearl-clutching reverence.

Of course the major outlets are running obituaries for this particular clown, wasting perfectly good ink and pixel space on what amounts to a love letter to a theocratic tyrant. You'd be forgiven for thinking you'd stumbled onto the Babylon Bee, that elite satire outfit, but no, this is the genuine article, straight from The Washington Post.

As some sharp-eyed observers pointed out, it reads less like journalism and more like a particularly delusional dating app profile: "An early follower of Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini, the austere cleric who inspired the revolution against Iran’s U.S.-backed monarchy, Ayatollah Khamenei staunchly opposed the United States and Israel, rejected Western “liberalism,” and adhered strictly to fundamentalist social policies. As supreme leader of Iran since 1989, when he succeeded Khomeini, Ayatollah Khamenei wielded ultimate political and religious authority in the Islamic republic, outranking the elected president and overseeing the country’s armed forces, internal security apparatus, judiciary, state media and foreign policy.

After Trump lost the 2020 election, Ayatollah Khamenei said its chaotic aftermath, marked by Trump’s baseless fraud claims, illustrated “the ugly face of liberal democracy” in the United States and made clear the country’s “definite political, civil [and] moral decline.”

When Iran was convulsed by widespread protests after the September 2022 death in custody of a young woman who was arrested by Islamic "morality police" for a dress-code violation, the supreme leader publicly blamed the United States and Israel and backed a deadly crackdown. How, he wondered, could some people "not see the foreign hand" behind the "rioting."

Soleimani's last ride

With his bushy white beard and easy smile, Ayatollah Khamenei cut a more avuncular figure in public than his perpetually scowling but much more revered mentor, and he was known to be fond of Persian poetry and classic Western novels, especially Victor Hugo's "Les Misérables." But like the uncompromising Khomeini, he opposed moderates' efforts to promote political and social reforms domestically and to secure rapprochement with the United States."

Avuncular? Easy smile? Fond of Victor Hugo?

This is the man, unlike Santa Claus, who spent decades orchestrating terror proxies across the Middle East, crushing his own people under heel, and dreaming aloud of wiping Israel off the map, and the paper of record wants us to know he had literary tastes. It's almost touching, in a macabre way. Almost as if the Washington Post has decided that the appropriate response to the violent end of a man who embodied evil dressed in clerical robes is to polish his halo and murmur about his poetry hobby.

Look, when evil gets its comeuppance, whether it's Soleimani in Baghdad or Khamenei in Tehran, the only surprise should be that it took this long. The rest is just the usual media theater: solemn faces, furrowed brows, and a quiet hope that maybe, just maybe, the bad guys aren't really that bad after all. But they are. And sometimes, thank God, justice arrives with wings and precision-guided munitions.

As Iranians worldwide are saying and will be repeated: thank you, President Trump.

Iran flips us off with missile tests

Death to America!
Islam doesn't respect treaties from non-Muslims. Never had, never will--it's a Mohammad thing and you can read all about it in the Hadith.

That brings us to the nuclear "deal" we struck with Iran. A deal that Secretary of State John Kerry, when asked if he thought Iran would stick to it said, "Inshallah." If you know anything about Islam, that word means "If Allah wills it."

The deal clearly instructs Iran to immediately desist from ballistic missile testing.

As Dennis Rodman would say, "Guess what," they're testing ballistic missiles. Big surprise or did Obama have an inkling that this was in the cards? I go with the latter suggestion.

The same country that grabbed our sailors and humiliated them, is now taking it the next predictable step. The Islamic Revolutionary Guard (RGC) proudly announced that it launched several ballistic missiles in various sites across Iran on Tuesday.

Let's call the launches "Strike Three." That's the number of times they defied the United Nations Security Council resolution 2231, which forbids the testing of ballistic missiles.

But if you ever saw the photo of Obama throwing out a baseball, you'd know that strike three does not compute for him. And Iran knows that too as they have no fear that he will do anything more than use words to hurt their feelings.

State Department spokes lackey Mark Toner implied the U.S. would impose an "appropriate response" to the the incident at the UN. "We also continue to aggressively apply our unilateral tools to counter threats from Iran's missile program," he said, probably implying that we would ask for our money back that we bribed them with to cut the deal.

The missiles, called Qiam, were fired during military drills called "Might of Velayat," which means "rule of the jurisprudent." The Velayat was the form of government imposed by Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini, the first Supreme Leader of Iran.

In spite of the UN resolution, Iran boldly flipped the bird in defiance of the UN and the USA. Fortunately for John Kerry, he's too dense to feel embarrassed. Mr. Obama, however, is too close to Valerie Jarrett, to feel responsible.

If nothing comes of this aggressive behavior, we may last long enough to elect a president who will put the fear of God into these jihad-crazed lunatics, Inshallah.
