Texas mall shooter and what we now know

The Texas shooter who murdered eight people and injured six more at the Allen Premium Outlets was a 33-year-old Latino who worked as a security guard. He will hereafter be referred to as Scum Crumpet because he deserves no mention by his name, and others who think of following in his bloody footsteps should  understand that they will gain no fame for evil deeds.

Crumpet wore a tactical vest and was armed with a handgun and rifle, Other weapons were also found in his car. officials said.

His home, located in northeast Dallas, was raided by the FBI on Saturday night where Crumpet lived with his parents who spoke little to no English and needed a translator.

According to the media, Crumpet "had no serious [serious?] criminal record and was working as a security guard." But did he have a frivolous criminal record--this is not clear.

He drove a Dodge Charger and was staying at a motel days prior to his rampage.

Among his victims were three children and of the nine victims, the ages ranged from 5 to 61 who were transported to local hospitals, the Allen PD reported. They said the shooter acted alone and was killed at the scene where other agencies also responded, including the ATF and Texas DPS.

The huge mall is  located 25 miles north of Dallas and has over 120 stores.

Texas Republican Governor Greg Abbott (R) issued a statement following the shooting saying that he has been in contact with the Allen mayor and Texas DPS director.

“Our hearts are with the people of Allen, Texas tonight during this unspeakable tragedy,” Abbott said. “I have been in contact with Mayor Fulk and DPS Director McCraw as well as other state and local leaders and offered the full support of the State of Texas to local officials to ensure all needed assistance and resources are swiftly deployed, including DPS officers, Texas Rangers, and investigative resources.”

President Biden went into "knee-jerk mode" issuing a statement about gun control and how his heart goes out and yadda, yadda.
