GOP is on the case into clusterfrack of 2021 withdrawal: investigation begins

Well, the Republicans have officially opened an investigation into the Biden administration's clusterfrack of a withdrawal of U.S. troops and temporary airplane hangers-on in Afghanistan in 2021.

House Foreign Affairs Committee [the safest affairs to have] Chairman Rep. Michael McCaul renewed a request for documents Thursday regarding the withdrawal. A letter was sent to Secretary of State Antony Blinken, saying that past requests have gone unanswered for over a year.

"It is absurd and disgraceful that the Biden administration has repeatedly denied our longstanding oversight requests and continues to withhold information related to the withdrawal," McCaul said in a statement.

He added that as committee chairman, he takes "this obligation very seriously and will pursue this investigation until all our questions are answered and all parties responsible are held accountable. We owe this to the American people, especially our service members and veterans."

The State Department has responded to thousands of requests for information about the chaotic withdrawal and provide over 150 bipartisan briefings to members of congress. The agency says that they are committed to working with the committee but everyone knows the fallout for the administration will be a joke.

You might recall how the US military worked to extract Americans out of Afghanistan in which 13 US service members were killed by a terrorist bomb because the administration refused to use the military airbase and used the civilian one instead. It was not secure and over 100 Afghans were also killed due to the incompetence of this administration.
