The Taliban stopped Rohullah Azizi, the brother of Afghanistan's former Vice President Amrullah Saleh, and his driver at a checkpoint and then shot them dead, according to his nephews on Saturday.
Azizi was an anti-Taliban fighter in the last holdout province of Panjshir, and Saleh is now one of the leaders of the resistance movement against their strict new rule.
Azizi was traveling on Thursday when he was stopped by the scumwafers at a checkpoint in Khanez village in the province of Panjshir, his nephew, Shuresh Saleh said.
"As we hear at the moment [the] Taliban shot him and his driver at the checkpoint,'' Saleh told the Associated Press. It was not known where they were heading when he was stopped, and phones were not working in the area.
Another nephew, Ebadullah told Reuters news agency, "[T]hey killed him yesterday and would not let us bury him. They kept saying his body should rot."

Not very Islamic of the Taliban, it seems.
The Urdu language account of the Taliban information service Alemarah said that "according to reports" Rohullah Saleh was killed during fighting in Panjshir. But to say that they lie is an understatement.

Social media had posted several videos which purportedly show the Taliban terrorists firing upon anti-Taliban fighters in Panjshir after they had been disarmed and arrested. And while the videos couldn't be independently verified, it isn't unusual for the Taliban to kill captives, women and men who sing, gays, lesbians, the whole LGBTQ gang, "non-Talibanians", people chewing gum, and children.
And yet President Biden had put his faith in these terrorists prior to a suicide bomber passing one of their checkpoints and killing 13 American military personnel, along with about 170 Afghans trying to leave the country.
Biden is the idiot frog, and the Taliban is the scorpion riding on its back.
Amrullah Saleh has now declared himself acting president after Ashraf Ghani fled the country with tons of cash and a full pant-load.
Saleh, to his credit and bravery, became one of the leaders of the anti-Taliban opposition forces in Panjshir valley, the last holdout in the country not fully captured by Biden's Taliban. Imagine our so-called president doing that.
Saleh has been targeted in assassination attempts several times. In July 2019 he was targeted in a suicide bombing attempt and a gun fight at his Kabul office. In 2020 his convoy was struck by a roadside bomb in which 10 people were killed and he was among 15 who were injured in the blast.
The Taliban had declared on Monday that they have taken over the provincial capital of Panjshir but they're as believable as Anthony Fauci on the efficacy of masks on 2-year-olds.
Currently, journalists do not have access to Panjshir valley but have witnessed some people with their belongings trying to flee while Saleh and his fighters try to hold on.
