The Nothing But Communism (NBC) network's airing of the Tokyo Olympics is a total cluster . . . of disappointment, [you thought I was going to say something else] as ratings plummet this week faster than the US Women's Soccer Team taking a knee when our National Anthem is being played.
"Woke" [as in brain dead] athletes and their protests along with the exit of a high-profile cowardly gymnast who for some reason is being treated as heroic, has turned normal people off and they have lost interest in yet more political theater. You can't even watch a Netflix movie without being lectured to, and people are tired of this crap.
This is the first time in my long life that I've actually rooted for the U.S. to lose in the events, and I admit that I've only watched a handful as my interest in the games has also withered.

The most ridiculous part of the games is how athletes do not wear face masks when they compete, even in close proximity to each other, but have to don one when they're on the podium.
Political theater.
Variety reported that viewership did grow since the opening events but the numbers are anemic compared to what NBC hoped for, and what the advertisers wanted.
I wonder if Mike Lindell, the My Pillow guy, advertised at the games.
“[T]he size of the declines from the previous Rio Olympics have unnerved advertisers, who are believed to have invested more than $1.2 billion in the sports extravaganza,” Variety reported.
It’s so bad that NBCU is offering disgruntled advertisers [and perhaps gruntled ones] extra air time, or “make goods.”
“NBCU and several media agencies have entered into discussions for ‘make goods,’ or ad inventory that is given to sponsors when a program fails to meet its original viewership guarantees,” Variety reported. “Ad buyers have pressed NBCU to give clients unsold Olympics inventory, noting that few other regular-season TV events will draw the consumer impressions that the Olympics do.”

And the worst hit of all is that top gymnast Simone Biles has quit all the events and is being praised as a hero for quitting. Everything has become backwards.
No wonder viewers have followed suit. No America-loving person wants to see "woke" Marxists and quitters disrespect the country.
