BREAKING: NY Gov. Andrew Cuomo resigns

Brother to the Comedy News Network's Fredo Cuomo, New York Governor Andrew Cuomo (D) has reigned amidst a sexual harassment probe stating that "The best way I can help now is if I step aside." This statement comes today, Tuesday.

Meanwhile, the governor's younger, more buffed brother, people refer to as "Fredo," continues to have a job at CNN even after helping Andrew deal with the allegations and coaching him as to what he should say to the public.

Not surprisingly, the 15,000 plus nursing home deaths of the elderly in his state doesn't appear to be an issue and has not come up in the media of late, and you have to admit, the brothers had a lot of fun on the show during the height of the pandemic.

Results of an inquiry released on August 3rd, by another possible Democratic gubernatorial hopeful, Latitia James, found that the governor did sexually harass 11 women, in an investigation that lasted five months. Cuomo's conduct violated U.S. and state laws and the snowball started rolling downhill from that point.

Cuomo, who served as governor since 2011, was found by the investigation's 168-page report that he groped, kissed or made suggestive comments to women that included past and present government employees--one state trooper--and that he retaliated against at least one woman who accused him of sexual misconduct.

He denied any wrongdoing and swore to break the legs of anyone who suggested he was lying--just kidding about the leg part.

Lieutenant Governor Kathy Hochul, a Democrat from western New York, will be taking over as governor once Cuomo is officially out of office. She will continue on until the end of Cuomo's term in December 2022 and will be the first woman to hold the position of governor. She has not as yet announced her preferred pronouns but the state waits with collective bated breath.

Cuomo's resignation spares him from a possible [and likely] impeachment investigation.
