Rep Cindy Axne, (D-IA) knows that hiking the minimum wage to $15 an hour will "harm" her rural constituents, but c'mon, she has bigger fish to fry. She said that she's going to go ahead and vote for the proposal anyway, and she did.
Axne [her friends call her "Zits"] admitted in a local radio interview Thursday that the minimum wage increase pushed by her fellow House Democrats they slipped into the coronavirus relief bill would "cause harm," to those she is supposed to represent [that's why these idiots are called 'Representatives'] but it isn't going to harm her and will keep her in the good graces of Speaker Nancy "Hands Afire" Pelosi, so she is going to vote for it.
"As a small business owner myself, and one that's been listening to all of our small businesses, in particular in rural Iowa, this will cause harm," Axne told local KMA. But she's making plenty of taxpayer dollars not representing her taxpayers in her district, so she can vote for the bill and not have to personally be affected by her vote.
The lawmaker said that without the pay hike, Iowa would experience a "brain drain" of "younger Iowans" would leave the state for greener pastures if she refused to screw her constituents and this is why she did just that.

The so-called COVID-19 relief bill of $1.9 trillion passed in the House last week, but only about 9 percent of the money will actually go for covid relief; the rest will go for Democratic pork.
According to the Congressional Budget Office, if the $15 per hour minimum wage would go into effect, at least 1,400,000 jobs would be eliminated, and these would be jobs often held by unskilled workers, youth and minorities, making their minimum wage $0.
Out of the 80 million hourly jobs in the nation, only about 2.3 percent are at minimum wage or below. In some states, the median hourly wage [not the minimum wage] is under $15 and the cost of living is significantly lower than in states such as New York, California, and other coastal states. Raising the minimum wage across the country makes no sense because every state is different.
The bill approved by the House on Saturday now lies in the Senate, where the Democrats face an uphill battle. But Democrats push hard and it may come down to a couple of Democratic Senators to convince to vote for the trash pile of papers.
