Netflix star of the docuseries "Cheer" was arrested on a federal child pornography charges. The charges came a few days after he was sued by twin brothers accusing him of sexual misconduct, according to a report.
Jerry Harris, 21, is charged with producing child pornography, according to the US Attorney’s Office in Chicago, as the Chicago Tribune reported.
The bust comes this month after the FBI announced they had a warrant for Harris for allegedly soliciting sex from minors which lasted more than a year and began when the boys were 13 and Harris was 19.
The lawsuit, filed Monday, accuses Harris of "sexual harassment, exploitation, manipulation, intimidation and sexual abuse."
Harris allegedly sent suggestive messages asking for photos and seeking sex.The twins' mother initially dismissed the contacts but after another cheerleading coach allegedly assaulted them, she removed her head from her butt and thought that there might be a pervasive atmosphere of tolerance of sexual abuse either in the sport or the companies that govern them. United States All Star Federation, Varsity Spirit and Cheer Athletics were later named as parties to the legal proceedings.
Harris was arrested on Thursday by the FBI and charged in Chicago for production of child pornography. The POS allegedly admitted to soliciting and receiving explicit messages from others he knew as minors on Snapchat and he also allegedly admitted to having oral and anal sex with a 15-year-old in mid-2019, according to federal court records.
Harris is suspended from at least one company, and is facing the loss of sponsorships. A spokesperson for Harris denied the allegations, as is his job.
