"I call this my tomahawk chop" |
De Blasio tried to promote his appearance ahead of time with this promo:
On Sunday, August 11, you can see de Blasio at 10 am at Parlor City, 1125 3rd St. SE, in Cedar Rapids, and Jay Inslee at 4 pm at Indian Creek Nature Center, 5300 Otis Road SE, in Cedar Rapids. I hope to see you there. #iacaucusSorry, I couldn't make it, but if I had, he would've had an audience of about 16 people, not including his staff who were willing to play the crowd in a friendly game of Bandy, the national game of Russia.
His polling numbers, therefore, give us a sense of accuracy.
The New York Post tweeted about his grand appearance:

The excitement is so palpable you could cut it with a knife:

I counted about 15 attendees, coming and going, at the @BilldeBlasio event this morning in Cedar Rapids. That’s not including the organizer, nor staff and press.

Ouch. https://t.co/hMJoAuq11FDe Blasio doesn't care. He still hopes to rake in some of those campaign donation bucks and use them for his next mayoral campaign.

I enjoy the "roughly," as if it's that hard to count 15 people. https://t.co/zyniUNa3eN

Funny how Communists need capitalism to promote their communism.
