The super-socialist dynamic duo of Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) and presidential candidate Sen. Bernie "Oy Like Puddink" Sanders (I-VT) had nothing useful to say on Tuesday when the situation in their beloved Venezuela went to hell in a hand basket. It became so bad that the Moduro military fired on the crowd and an armored vehicle proceeded to run over protesters.
"Venezuelan opposition leader Juan Guaidó took to the streets on Tuesday, calling on citizens and the military to back him up in the 'final phase' of the interim president’s plan to end the regime of socialist President Nicolás Maduro," Fox News reported. "Guaido’s announcement immediately drew support from politicians in the U.S., which said earlier this year it would recognize Guaidó as the country's interim president."
At the time this post was written, neither of the cowardly socialist had the guts to make any statements about what was happening in Venezuela, which included reports that the government had fired on protesters and a disturbing video from the Daily Wire of an armored military vehicle driving over protesters.
Ocasio-Cortez tweeted nothing about Venezuela from her official congressional Twitter account or from her personal Twitter account, but this is likely due to the fact that the situation doesn't fit her socialist agenda. In fact, it's probably embarrassing to her.
Sanders, who was also silent about the events in Venezuela, was doubling down on his belief that terrorists who have murdered American citizens should have the right to vote in U.S. elections while incarcerated, proving the old fart lacks the mental capacity to run the country.
Sanders later appeared on CNN with host Brooke Baldwin who did not ask Sanders a single question about Venezuela because he asked her nicely not to and she didn't want to rock the boat.
Last month, Ocasio-Cortez refused to denounce Maduro when asked by a reporter and instead attacked a member of the Trump administration.
The video below can be disturbing if it disturbs you to see people being run over by an armored vehicle.
"As a Democratic Socialist, I'm wondering what are your thoughts on the Venezuelan crisis that's happening right now and if you would denounce the Maduro regime?" a reporter asked the ditzy chick not really from da Bronx.
"Yeah, so, I think that, that this is absolutely a complex issue," Ocasio-Cortez responded, because most issues for her are complex, including what to make for dinner. "I think it's important that, uh, that we approach this very carefully. One I am, um, myself just like anyone else who is absolutely concerned with the humanitarian crises that's happening and I think it's important that any solution that we have centers the Venezuelan people and centers the democracy of Venezuelan people first."
She went on to say more stuff but it really wasn't important nor did it deal with the question she was asked.
Final note: guns were banned in Venezuela in 2012 and now only the military and police have guns, and thus, all the power, leaving the citizens at their mercy. Sanders and AOC would take away all guns if they had the chance.
