Pay raises okayed by Dems for Federal Workers guilty of sexual misconduct

On Wednesday House Democrats rejected a GOP proposal that included an amendment that would block federal employees who had been disciplined for sexual misconduct to receive the same pay raise as their coworkers with no such record.

Republicans attempted to add the provision to legislation initially proposed by Democrats to give federal workers a 2.6 percent raise. The Republican proposal was to simply stipulate that workers disciplined for sexual misconduct be exempt from the pay raise because you just don't throw pearls at swine.

But based on the way the Democrats rejected the attempt to withhold the raises from those who committed sexual misconduct, the Dems apparently identify with the swine. [See also Virginia Lt. Gov. Justin Fairfax.]

"During calendar year 2019, no increase in pay as authorized under this Act may be provided to any Federal employee who has been disciplined for sexual misconduct under chapter 75 of title 5, United States Code, or any other provision of law," read the Republican proposal.

Despite receiving support from 17 Democrats, the proposal was rejected in a 216-206 vote.

A spokesperson for House Republican leader Kevin McCarthy (Calif.) slammed the bill ahead of the vote to adopt the amendment on sexual misconduct.

But the biggest problem is the fact that it's practically impossible to fire federal employees no matter how scummy they behave.

"As Washington Democrats continue their ill-advised push for unilateral pay raises for federal employees, regardless of their performance, Republicans continue to ask Democrats to amend their legislation," said Erin Perrine. "Currently this bill treats victims the same as their harassers. That makes no sense."

It makes sense to Democrats, however, because they're even willing to pay people who are unwilling to work, as they support the Green New Deal, which makes that statement.

Among the members who opposed the proposal was Rep. Tony "Bite Me B***h" Cardenas (D-CA), who was sued last year by a woman who says he drugged and groped her when she was 16 years old. Tony chaired the vote for the Democrats.

The bill passed without the amendment on sexual misconduct and now goes to the U.S. Senate. Hopefully they will reject it until the amendment is approved by those on the left who stand to be exposed for what they are.
