Socialist mayor of New York City, the not-so honorable Bill de Blasio (whose real name was originally Warren Wilhelm Jr., but his father abandoned him and the family when Billy was 6) has once again showed his true feelings about the NYPD.
The dimmest bulb on the Rockefeller Center Christmas tree has reappointed Brooklyn Judge Laura Johnson. This judge freed two men who threatened police a few days after the Bedford-Stuyvesant assassination of two police officers. She freed them without even requiring bail.
And de Blasio reappointed her in spite of the fact that one gang member suspect skipped a court date and had a warrant out for his arrest. He was charged with posting death threats online but neither Johnson nor de Blasio believes this thug's freedom trumps the safety of the police.
If you had any doubts as to the lack of sincerity this waste of Warren Wilhelm Sr's. sperm cell has, this should clarify it for you. De Blasio hates authority, especially the authority that represents law and order in a nation where socialists like him would like to rule. And those police officers who turned their back on him during his eulogy of Officer Raphael Ramos, did the right thing. De Blasio has turned his back on the entire police force.
This so-called judge was to face the expiration of her term on midnight starting the new year, but the day after this cowardly two-faced mayor met with five police unions, in order to heal the split between his office and the NYPD, he turned her interim appointment into a reappointment. She's back on the bench working for the opposition.
Sergeant union head, Ed Mullins said that "The mayor's actions of reappointing this judge are completely hypocritical to his argument that he's pro-police and counterproductive to what he claims to be an effort to open dialogue going forward. He had the opportunity to demonstrate good will and support for the police, and he once again has demonstrated the opposite."
I believe that it's a good thing the city sees early on who this mayor really is, who he sides with and how cowardly he operates. Even this has a yin and yang.
Dennis Quirk, head of the state "court officers union said that de Blasio's decision to reappoint Johnson was "a disgrace."
Well, there is no doubt in my mind that de Blasio lacks grace and by lacking that he lacks the ability to command respect from people.
I suspect and hope that he will be a one-term mayor and the liberals who make up the voting majority of the Big Apple will see him for the worm he is. De Blasio is just too stupid to understand that he needs the NYPD more than they need him.
