Boston Marathon Bombings

Monday, April 15th, 2013, Patriot Day.
4:50 PM: At about 2:50 PM during the running of the Boston Marathon, two bombs went off within a minute of each other. Two people at this count, were killed, and 23 injured. Late word states that a third device has detonated at the John F. Kennedy Library at around 4:00 PM. One man at present, is in custody. The two who were killed, were decapitated by the explosion.

5:15 PM: Hotels in the area have increased their security. The White House Secret Service staff have pushed back the barricades away from Pennsylvania Avenue, keeping observers a safe distance from the building.  Police are asking people to stay home and if they have to be out, to stay away from large groups. One person of interest, a man with severe burns, is being held by police. At this time, we are not certain if he is a victim or a terrorist. There is a Penske truck that is surrounded by the police, and we are not yet clear what involvement it has in the tragedy.

Cell phone service has been shut down to prevent any more devices from being detonated via cell phone. This may indicate that the bombs were detonated in this manner.

5:26 PM: It was just learned that the JFK Library incident was actually not related to the bombing but was the result of a fire.

If this turns out to be an Islamist attack, will Obama call it "sports place violence"? If it is not an Islamic attack, will Muslim jihadists feel sad for the victims?
