Calif. girl's track star disqualified from state championships due to celebrating her win

Clara Adams

Clara Adams is a phenomenal high school track star. She won the girls 400 meter finals although a boy with gender dysphoria was slightly faster and ironically won the first place award.

Adams, a straight-up high school track phenom who’s burning up the lanes like nobody’s business. She's a sophomore from North Salinas High School who blazed through the girls’ 400-meter finals at the California state championships, crossing the finish line first, or so she thought. But the story takes a wild turn, and not the good kind.

See, there’s this whole storm brewing at the California state track and field championships, mostly because a boy who claims to be a girl snagged first in the girls’ high jump and triple jump. That’s got everyone’s attention, but flying under the radar is a straight-up travesty in the varsity girls’ 400 finals that’ll make your blood boil.

Adams is an absolute speed demon, smoking the prelims for second place, then came out guns blazing in the finals. She crossed that line first, ready to bask in the glory.

Picture this: she’s celebrating with her father, David, grabbing a fire extinguisher, and spraying her shoes like they ignited from her speed. The Monterey Herald caught the moment, with her dad saying it was all in good fun, nowhere near her opponents. “She wasn’t disrespecting anyone,” David told the outlet. Just a kid having a blast after leaving everyone in the dust.

But here’s where it gets downright infuriating. The California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) swoops in like some fun-hating overlords and calls her celebration “unsportsmanlike.” They strip Clara of her state championship, her hard-earned, sweat-drenched victory, and disqualify her from the whole meet. Poof, just like that, no 200-meter race for her either.

David Adams isn’t having it. He protested the CIF’s call, saying it felt “racially motivated.” Clara’s Black, and yeah, that detail’s not lost on anyone paying attention. The CIF  doubled down, upholding the decision like they’re guarding the gates of LGBTQ+YADDAYADDA911 bureaucracy.

Alan Green, one of the voices of reason here, summed it up to the Monterey Herald: “It’s a very unfortunate event. We are all heartbroken. Clara ran an incredible 400 race and is the fastest 400-meter girl in the state. She was trying to have some fun at the finish line after the 400. It was interpreted as unsportsmanlike. What an incredible season and run. It’s unfortunate.”

Now that's an understatement of the year, Alan.

Clara was gutted. “I felt like I was robbed,” she said, still “in shock.” And who wouldn’t be? This girl’s been dominating, first in the 400 at the Central Coast Section Championships, first in three races at the Pacific Coast Athletic League Masters Meet just last month. She’s the real deal, and now she’s caught in this nonsense.

One day the country will look back at this insanity where boys and men compete against girls and women and wonder what the hell were they thinking.

Oh, and let’s not gloss over the irony here: a boy with gender dysphoria ran slightly faster in the 400 and snagged the first-place award. So while Clara’s getting DQ’d for a little flair, the bigger picture’s got everyone scratching their heads. California, what are we even doing here?

Clara Adams deserved better as do all female athletes in all sports.

Guys run faster than girls, even when they think they're 'girls'

A male with long hair
High school boys Terry Miller and Andraya Yearwood took first and second place respectively in the state open indoor track championships Feb. 16,

Both Miller and Yearwood are boys who believe they are girls so it's okay to beat them in sports.

One of their competitors, high school junior Selina Soule, told the AP it was unfair to force female runners to compete against male runners, which of course, is true. Males are biologically faster and stronger than girls in general and have an advantage in competitive sports such as track and field.

“We all know the outcome of the race before it even starts; it’s demoralizing,” said Soule. “I fully support and am happy for these athletes for being true to themselves. They should have the right to express themselves in school, but athletics have always had extra rules to keep the competition fair.”

I also fully support their delusions--well, maybe not support their delusions but understand that for them, their delusions feel real. But let's not pretend that transgenderism is normal. It isn't statistically normal nor is it normal in terms of mental health. If it was, the suicide rates and attempted suicides would not be as disproportionally higher than the norm.

Miller is the third-faster runner in the country in the girls’ 55-meter dash. Yearwood is close behind, tied for seventh nationally. This is due to the fact that they are fast, and they are not girls.

Miller and Yearwood’s success is just the latest instance of male athletes, who identify as transgender, excelling in women’s sports.

Because they aren't women.

What's next? Will Rachel Dolezal compete in the Miss Black America Competition? Will Snoop Dog enter the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show?

A sympathetic segment on ABC’s “Good Morning America” in June 2018 described the two runners as “dominating the competition” at the outdoor state championships earlier that month.

In that interview, Miller argued that female runners should work harder, rather than complaining about unfairness, when forced to compete against male athletes who identify as transgender. He really has a big set on him to say that. How does he do when running against his fellow male runners?

Yearwood acknowledged being stronger than female runners to the AP, but compared it to advantages other athletes might have from perfecting their form or doing extra training sessions, which is an unfair comparison because in his case, he's born with the advantage, in the other case, the advantage is worked at.

The country has evidently lost its collective mind with being "woke."

Family of suicidal plane thief 'shocked' but I have a theory

The family of the man who authorities say stole a Horizon Air turboprop aircraft from Sea-Tac International Airport and apparently committed suicide with it told the media they were in "complete shock." His friends say he was a "friendly guy" and nobody seems to know why he did it.

Richard Russell, 29, the man in question who liked to be called Beebo, is presumed dead.

He was a ground service agent for Horizon Airlines, a sister carrier of Alaska Airlines, and once ran a bakery with his wife. His social media showed his love for travel and his airline job was a perk that allowed him to travel often.

Russell was born in Key West, Florida and moved to Wasilla, Alaska when he was 7 years old. He was currently living in Sumner, Washington, according to a Web page he set up for a college communication class.

While he never mentioned of studying for his pilot's license, he did mention in some of his online posts of his Christian faith and the possibility of joining the military.

According to authorities, Russell commandeered an empty Bombardier Q400. It's a 107 feet long turboprop. He flew it for about an hour and was often erratic in his handling of the plane and attempted doing aerial stunts before crashing on Ketron Island in Puget Sound. Authorities say that he appeared to have acted alone and was suicidal, the local sheriff said.

His family said in a statement: "It may seem difficult for those watching at home to believe, but Beebo was a warm, compassionate man."

On radio communication during his deadly flight, Russell was heard saying, "Got a few screws loose, I guess. Never really knew it until now."

Everyone seemed to like him and described him as outgoing and friendly. He was a star athlete at Wasilla High School where he ran track and was also on the wrestling team.

Gary Howell, a Wasilla High track and field coach, remembers Russell as a funny guy who always had a smile and a joke and was a great team player.

"Absolutely the kind of kid you want on your team," Howell told the Anchorage Daily News.

The wrestling coach said similar things about him.

He reminds one of Robin Williams--everyone liked him and he seemed happy.

I wonder if he suffered a concussion or some kind of brain injury that went unnoticed or unreported in his wrestling career.

It's also possible that he actually hoped to land the plane because he said, "Do you think if I land this plane successfully they'll give me a job as a pilot?"

But I'd go with the first possibility.

Very sad.

Rest in peace, Richard.
