Two B-52 bombers, [aka Stratofortresses] flew over a 30-hour nonstop round-trip sortie from the U.S. to the Middle East as a clear warning to Iran as new warnings from that country have been detected, described by a military official as a sign that potential "complex attacks" against Americans are being prepared. This comes on the one-year anniversary of the blowing away of Iranian terrorist Gen. Qassem Soleimani by a drone attack in Baghdad.

The U.S. Central Command said in a statement that the bombers launched from Minot Air Force Base in North Dakota on Tuesday morning. This marks the third time in the past month and a half U.S. Air Force bombers have flown deterrence missions over the Persian Gulf under fighter escort. The bombers flew through without incident, and Iran had not reacted publicly as of Wednesday morning because they would do so at their own peril.

The current bomber flight comes one week after President Trump threatened to retaliate against Iran after 21 rockets were launched at the U.S. Embassy in Baghdad on Dec. 20, the largest attack against the sprawling diplomatic compound in the past decade. So far we've done nothing more than grab our crotch and flex our muscles.

The same senior official said they also saw the "potential for other more complex attacks" against Americans in Iraq: "I think it is likely that the U.S. Embassy in Baghdad would be attacked again in some manner."

The official explained that all of our planning against Iran is "defensive," just as a precaution in case they get froggy and plan to jump.
But if they do jump, we will unleash a devastating fury, a violent and overwhelming response.
Funny thing, last month Iran's top nuclear scientist hell-bent on creating a weapon to destroy the United States and Israel, was himself destroyed by a remote-controlled machine gun. The mucky mucks in Tehran blamed Israel for the assassination and because we are close allies with Israel, the official said that "[T]here's a chance that we could be, you know, caught in the middle.
Last year on New Year's Even, the U.S. Embassy in Baghdad was attacked. While no Americans were hurt, a quick reaction force of U.S. Marines were flown in from Kuwait to provide security to the embassy. It was three days later, Jan. 3, that a U.S. drone orbiting Baghdad's international airport that Soleimani along with the Iranian-backed militia leader Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis were terminated.
Soleimani was the scum responsible for killing hundreds of American troops in the Iraq War, and he was also responsible for a number of rocket attacks against U.S. bases and the embassy in Iraq.
A week ago, the USS Georgia, a guided missile sub, capable of carrying over 150 Tomahawk cruise missiles entered the Persian Gulf. They had aboard a number of Navy SEALs, according to the Navy's Fifth Fleet. The Obama days of sailors on their knees in front of the Iranian sailors were over with President Trump.
Now we will have to wait and see if Biden is wearing knee pads.
As this is being written, the aircraft carrier USS Nimitz is off the coast of Somalia in the Indian Ocean but could come back north to the Arabian Sea to launch attacks from its dozens of F-18 Super Hornets, if needed. We also have a squadron of F-16 jet fighters from Germany at Al Dhafra Air Base in the UAE ready and standing by if things get froggy.
All of this is simply a deterrent and a clear message that if they jump, they will not enjoy the landing.
