Randi Weingarten loses her s*** during speech on Trump's 'fascism'

When someone who wants to force you to send your kids to a school of their choosing or closes schools down for an overblown flu, and then calls you the fascist, you can take that with a grain of salt and a shot of tequila. This is exactly what American Federation of Teachers head Randi Weingarten is doing in regard to former President Donald Trump.

Weingarten went nuts, jumping up and down like a jumping bean as she screamed and warned the country about Trump bringing violence and fascism to the country. It was as if someone got her balls in an uproar and she nearly put a hole in the stage.

Weingarten, a member of the LGBTQI+123and-a-zing-zing-zing community, has a long history of left of left political balderdash. She went on at length about US politics and even quoted from the  "Suffs" musical produced by Hillary Clinton, specifically referencing the lyrics "progress is possible, not guaranteed" from the song "Keep Marching."

"The November elections will determine which path we take as a nation. Progress is possible, but so is the eradication of the rights and freedoms we hold dear," Weingarten said, in that self-serving way progressives have. "It is seldom a dramatic event or attack that lets fascism in the door. The violence comes later, after they are voted in."

Then she began to scream banshee-style, looking forward to when history books show "that we the people united, mobilized, and voted down this existential threat to democracy and freedom!" She gave no examples of how her alarming message was true.

Her next act was to bounce like a SuperBall on steroids shouting, "That we continued the march for progress! That we laid the foundation for a better future! And that we sought to create a more perfect union! Progress is possible! Keep marching!"

Earlier in the speech, she encouraged her audience to imagine a future that included a wide variety of initiatives ranging from the freedom to kill the unborn to the freedom to "breathe."

"Imagine a country where hate has no harbor, and freedom rings! The freedom to vote! To live, to breathe! The freedom to marry! The freedom for families to make reproductive choices! The freedom to read!" she shouted. "The freedom to teach and the freedom to join a union!"

Weingarten is married to a woman, so what's her beef about freedom to marry?

She claimed that she prayed that Trump was changed by his brush with death at the Pennsylvania rally, but argued he is still a selfish and evil man, although she doesn't really know him intimately.

"Does anyone in this room doubt that if Donald Trump is given a choice between what is good for him and what is good for working families, which he would choose?" she asked with a hand dramatically to her ear as liberals yelled, "No!" from the crowd of trained seals.

She also slammed Betsy DeVos, who served as the 11th U.S. secretary of education under Trump, Chris Rufo, who helped popularize the push against Critical Race Theory, and school choice advocate Corey A DeAngelis, who slammed her display as an "unhinged lunatic."

Randi Weingarten is the most self-serving person in public life, after Kamala Harris.

Kids, it's called projection.

Nat'l Teachers Union head having a cow over fear DeSantis will trigger flight to private schools

Randi Weingarten heads the American Federation of Teachers and is having a panic attack stemming from policies that Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL) have implemented will encourage parents to remove their kids from leftism-teaching public schools, and transfer them to private schools instead. If this happens in large enough numbers, then there is hope for the nation.

If you are not suffering from Alzheimer's or other memory disorder, you will recall how the teachers unions across the country had schools locked down due to COVID-19, even after the vaccine was available. It seemed that if Weingarten and teachers in general had their way, remote learning would have lasted until the children were old enough to marry and settle down. Teachers did not want to go back to the classroom and were among the most cowardly among us.

On Thursday, Weingarten referencing an article in The New Republic, a far-left rag, that attacked DeSantis for his policies. The sleepy-face union prez tweeted:
“This isn’t just about masks or about Governor DeSantis’ political aspirations. It’s about the complete destabilization of public education so that parents will choose private schools.” https://t.co/o9FkLV7vNW
— Randi Weingarten (@rweingarten)

But, like Bernie Sanders says about higher taxes, private schools is a good thing. Teachers in private schools can be terminated for poor performance. They are also not beholden to a union and therefore don't have to teach the mantra of critical race theory. Private schools also don't have to abide by public school mandates and can have a sane approach to masking requirements.

In July, Weingarten hysterically attacked Gov. DeSantis, tweeting that “Millions of Floridians are going to die for Ron DeSantis’ ignorance and he’s choosing to profit from it,” after DeSantis’ campaign team offered T-shirts saying, “Don’t Fauci My Florida.”

Unlike the left's profiting from apparel they sell on their websites like AOC, for example. It isn't the same for them.

In March, DeSantis unveiled a $106 million civics education initiative, developed under the advisement of Hillsdale College, which directs a line of charter schools, including one run by the education commissioner’s wife. The initiative emphasizes “the influence of the Ten Commandments.” It also bans “Marxist” critical race theory.

In June, the state Board of Education banned any instruction that defines American history “as something other than the creation of a new nation based largely on universal principles stated in the Declaration of Independence.”

DeSantis Press Secretary Christina Pushaw blasted Weingarten in a statement to The Daily Wire, saying, “Is Randi Weingarten’s ridiculous claim that selling a koozie will lead to ‘millions’ of Floridians dying an example of Critical Math Theory? It’s terrifying that the fate of any child’s education is in the hands of someone so incredibly ignorant.”

The Daily Wire reported in May 2021 about the "destabilizing" of public schools and placed the blame squarely on the AFT and Weingarten:
The American Federation of Teachers, led by Randi Weingarten, appears to have lobbied the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to keep schools shuttered amid the coronavirus pandemic and “even suggested language for the federal agency’s school-reopening guidance released in February,” according to a Saturday report from the New York Post, based on emails between the AFT and CDC.

“The powerful teachers union’s full-court press preceded the federal agency putting the brakes on a full re-opening of in-person classrooms, emails between top CDC, AFT, and White House officials show,” the Post reported Saturday.

Weingarten’s tweet engendered responses like this one from Karol Markowicz:
I will say again: absolutely no one destabilized public education last year more than Randi Weingarten. School choice movement owes her a big thank you. We noticed that public schools controlled by her stayed closed while the private schools in same areas opened. We saw. https://t.co/5LPuCt054v

So please, Randi Weingarten, don't give the American public your crap about DeSantis and your fear about losing students to a better educational experience.

AFT president walks back her claim that DeSantis would kill "millions" in Florida

Randi Weingarten, president of the American Federation of Teachers, whose salary, according to Fox News, is over $560,000, is walking back her bizarre claim that Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL) would cause "millions" to die in his state. Just because Weingarten makes over 9 times the average salary of the teachers who send her their dues, is no reason to believe she knows what of she speaks.

Weingarten said in an evidence-free tweet that "millions of Floridians are going to die for Ron DeSants' ignorance" in response to an article from The Washington Post pointing out anti-Dr. Anthony Fauci merchandise on the Republican governor's official website.

After receiving some criticism for her Biden-like hyperbole, the American Federation of Teachers president backtracked the claim on Thursday.

"You are all probably right… I shouldn’t have said millions," Weingarten tweeted. "I should have just said DeSantis was wrong to do this.. Fauci is an amazing public servant. He shouldn’t be mocked. But I shouldn’t engage in that kind of hyperbole either. My bad…"

Wow, she said 'my bad.' How cool is that?

Yes, Dr. Fauci is amazing. It's amazing he still has a job after giving mixed messages about masks and making Michael Avenatti's tv appearances look trivial in comparison to his. The guy doesn't seem to know what he's talking about and he first proved that with the AIDS epidemic when he insisted that it was an airborne disease.

Christina Pushaw, DeSantis' press secretary, had shot back at Weingarten's hyperbole, touting the governor's record during the pandemic.

"Florida’s COVID death rate is lower than the national average, and unlike the Governor of New York, we don’t fudge the numbers," Pushaw wrote in a tweet. "Meanwhile, Randi Weingarten ruined the education of millions of kids by keeping them out of school for more than a year based on a conspiracy theory."

Brilliant response and very true.

Teacher's Union leader blasted for her anti-Semitic comments

I recall once seeing teacher's union president Randi Weingarten on television in which she was listening to a speech, possibly by Ed Koch, the Democratic New York City mayor at the time. [This was obviously prior to her position as UFT. and later the AFT president.] As she sat there, here eyes glazed over like Krispy Kreme donuts and eventually closed. She slept.

I didn't know much about her at the time, but I knew that I wouldn't want her in my foxhole, and not even as a coworker. As a young women back then, she seemed to have the energy of a solar panel at the North Pole in winter.

Weingarten, a Jew, is being condemned by civil rights groups and others for accusing Jewish Americans of depriving others of the chance in their bid to reopen schools amid the coronavirus that virtually causes almost zero harm to children and poses little to no danger to teachers in the classroom.

Sleepy Randi, who heads the American Federation of Teachers, is currently in the middle of several fights over school reopening and it seems if she could have her way, the schools would remain closed, at least until the proverbial cows come home. She has pushed back on Center for Disease Control guidance about physical distancing guidelines in school.

Weingarten's comments about American Jews unleashed a firestorm of condemnations from groups that accused Weingarten of trafficking in anti-Semitic tropes.

Rabbi Aryeh Spero, president of the Conference of Jewish Affairs, accused her of "denouncing her own people and inciting others against Jews in order to be the darling of the Left."

"She took legitimate criticism of her union’s refusal to go back to work as a way to demonize the Jewish community. Historically this was labeled ‘scapegoating,'" Spero said. "She understands that today power is achieved by those who scapegoat Jews."

Or by calling everyone you don't like a "racist."

Weingarten made the comments in an interview with the Jewish Telegraphic Agency where she responded to a question about the perception that teachers' unions are trying to keep schools closed. She pivoted to criticizing American Jews as part of the "ownership class" who "want to take that ladder of opportunity away from those who do not have it."

Huh? That's a non sequitur.

Weingarten defended herself against accusations of anti-Semitism by pointing to her marriage to another woman who happens to be a rabbi. [It's the old "some of my best friends are Jews" defense.]

"My entire life is dedicated to promoting Jewish values like tikkun olam (repairing a broken world)," she wrote on Twitter.

But her defense was not sufficient for groups that fight anti-Semitism.

Asaf Romirowsky, executive director of Scholars for Peace in the Middle East, blasted Weingarten for using "identity politics" to target a religious minority.

"Weingarten's comments represent a growing anti-Semitism within the progressive Left – which spends its days seeking out fictional ideas weaved in identity politics such as ‘ownership class,'" Romirowsky explained. "Anti-Semitism is a form of racism. Until racism in all of its varieties is no longer tolerated, it will flourish."

"We are nauseated the head of the Teachers' Union has the audacity to spread century-old antisemitic tropes of Jewish dominance and power," Liora Rez, executive director of Stop Antisemitism, said. "While Ms. Weingarten herself is collecting a hefty six-figure salary, the majority of Jewish Americans do not. Her dangerous rhetoric does nothing but provide white supremacists and other anti-Semites more verbal weaponry to use against Jews at a time when anti-Semitism is spreading like wildfire in America."

$451,973 is the number of dollars Randi Weingarten makes annually. That should keep us all up at night and Weingarten awake all day.
